Tippmann Effect is indeed an awesome team. I played against a couple of the guys during open speedball at the IAO...visited the deadbox frequently

I have to agree, for instance, do you think the cars that places such as Road and Track get are not hand selected by the factory? Yes BC may use stock markers, but they are stock made (or at least selected) for BC - they are better than the average Spyder. Thats why I say, when I call AGD and order an X (yeh sure) I will get the same tolerances as Capo's X. Hence why I trust AGD just a bit more.

But even if these teams use better than retail guns, it still goes to show you that the equipment can only take you so far.

Practice the skill instead of the hype and spyders, classic mags, standard cockers, tippmans, etc can be more than adequate.

Say now, that's dangerous thinking. You'd best stick with your Tribal.

Actually there setups just on there guns are worth something. All of them either have full freaks with SS backs or ultralights. The SS back full freak can be near 170, they also use a different spyder like ever week. Ummmmm, that can be hefty and plus they are switching to nexions which cost a lot more money then amgs plus there regs, and barrel it would cost over 600 new.

Funny thing is that the EVIL rep was at the shop I hang out pushing the new Piranaha w/ the eyes.

It's actually not that bad did you know that the newer Piranahas run UNDER 300psi. I would never have believed it if I didn't see it myself.

    New BC Guns...

I was under the impression that BC were getting new guns that will be machined to much tighter tolerances, and that they will be fully electro-pneumatic instead of just being a sear tripper. I was told that these new guns were no joke by some people at my local paintball store... Described to me as basically another timmy. Don't flame me, that's just what I heard

I have actually wondered that myself. It didn't take much think before I realized why people use 1400 dollar paintball guns. Paintball is half about looks and first reactions to how people play. Most people judge first skill by what equipment the person is using. Its easier to make initial jugdements good and keep them that way than it is to make bad judgements change into good ones. If your an amazing player, that shouldn't be very hard, but if you are average, having a nicer gun will put you about other average players.

Using better guns gives you somewhat of an edge, but as much as you'd like to deny it, the difference between 12 bps and 20 really isn't all that much. I can keep a lane at 12 bps the same as with a 20. It might actually be better to shoot slower so you wouldn't have to reload as much, you wouldn't waste as much paint, etc.

Thats just what I think anyway. Its more about status than the actually performance. If I had the money to spend on a sick gun and enough cash to play as much as the pros, I would definately go for the best, just cause there is no reason not to.

I can't believe I said I wanted to get rid of my tribal, wait, now I have to say my mephisto because I have another tribal coming. I think I was going through a phase where I wasn't really happy with my tribal. Though pimped spyders are always fun to build, but I'd just rather save up for a Dark Timmy. But then I notice that I want a bunch of markers, omen, viking, dark timmy, custom emag, illusion, and a pimped spyder. But I'll probly just be getting the illusion in the near future since I will need to start paying for gas and insurance on a car I'm getting, and so I won't have the money I usually do to play, so I will have to stick with a pump for some time.

Yeh, they will most likely be using the kingman Primal, its a e-pneumatic marker w. eyes, i think vision eyes, it hasn't been released yet.

there's also a System X NME coming out w/ was board and eyes in it stock and is a spyder clone that might be using a 4way noid, it also might have a hefty price tag.
