    Checking my sear pin length

Well, I need to check the length of my sear pin, because I think that might be the root of my problems. I have my calipers all ready, but I can't get the sear out of the trigger frame. It's atached to the plunger, so it won't come out. Do I need to turn the nut that connects the sear to the plunger? If so, how far do I turn it back in after I take it out?

My bad, I didn't mean sear pin, I meant trigger rod.

    Branchvillian,

There is an E-clip that keeps the entire sear assembly from being removed from the grip frame. Don't muck with the nut if all you want to do is remove the sear assembly.

Use some needle nose pliars or two flat head screwdrivers and with some TLC, knock it out of it's notch.

Be sure to reinstall the E-clip prior to gassing/firing the gun.

    Jim
