Someone is trying to scam me!

If someone tells you that they will send you a $2000 MO and you're to keep the agreed amount and then use Western Union to send rest to them and there Shipping agent will pick up the package..... IT'S A SCAM!!!! This is called the Nigerian Scam.... The MO is fake and won't show until 3-7 days later.... Which leaves you screwed because you would have to pay back the bank.... Someone try to pull one of these on me, luckily I remembered to stay away from Western Union money orders. I posted this ad on www.craigslist.org and got an email regarding my sale. Well now I want to see if it’s possible to bust this guy for attempting to screw the public people over! If I wanted to notify the cops, get this guy’s address and everything, how would I go about doing this?

contact the ISP and notify them, or give the cops the ISP info and they can contact them. Sometimes, even your ISP will help get the info to the police department.

Its called a Nigerian scam because the person is most likely located in Nigeria. Certainly contact the ISP, but there is really nothing that can be done to the person in Nigeria. The best defense on thses is just to ignore him. They need a public information campaign about these soon.

Lol, the sad thing is AIM chatter is as bad as foreign broken English and some people might not even notice the difference or think twice.

bah screw it. My friend, O_o, said he gets these all the time and he just ignores them since it's not worth the trouble to even try. I will just say I got lucky that I was aware of this scam beforehand. AND I was too lazy to even read his email, and it sounded too complicated for me. I am a very lazy person, and something that looks that complicated I'd prefer not to bother with.
