    I stealthed my macro-line.... *pics*

I got my RPG grip the other day, I have never really liked the huge ammount of macro that goes in a big curve, so I cut holes in my IR3 Grips (a rather large task that was made a lot harder by the fact I didn't realise that it had plastic sections hidden under the rubber)

    anyway...
I'll let my pictures (only a few of 'em) speak about it...

let me know what you think!

    the pros...
    looks more astheticaly pleasing
don't catch the loop of macro on anything now

    the cons...
you have to undo the drop to be able to take the valve out

and yes, I know I need some black Macro, but I need 11.5" and my kit only had 10" bits

I take it you're not a fan of forgrips - espically gas-through ones?

You go through the trouble of getting a nice vertical frame, ule body, clamping neck... but your macro looks ghetto-rigged.

due to a severly "shortened" left hand (missing all of my fingers above the 1st knuckle) O can't hold a front foregrip comfortably....

    hence the ghetto look....

BUT, it will look better when I can get some black macro line....

that really is a great idea. not TOO much of a ghetto look. the black macro would help.

I saw a mag on ebay the other day that had a similar mod done. I dont remember if they ran it through the grip or actuall milled the frame and ran it through. Nice job although not my cup of tea.

the grip doesn't bulge at all, probably due to all the cutting with a scalpel... it's not just a straight hole, I actually gradiented the hole on the back of the grip so it sits flat. and when putting the macro in, I made sure I ran it under VERY hot water (read burnt fingers!) and then pressed the macro so it bent into the right shape correctly!

don't worry titansu! it's just my preference :P

doesn't really effect my by not having a full lefty... makes shooting left kind of interesting :P

I like it, it looks oddly clean.

DEFINATLY get some of tuna or squid's line. Either one is on a whole different level from regular macro.

No it's definately my left hand

just cos it's on the left of the picture, doesn't necessarily mean I haven't mirrored the image!

You should look into the RPG Shadow rail if you dont need holes for a foregrip and sight rail.

I think its awesome to see your "shortened" left hand didn't stop you from pb.

rogue keeps on at me about getting a new rail :P

I would like a shadow rail, but I want it shortened so that's it's only about 1/2 inch further from the front of the trigger frame - and no slot on the front either....

should make the rail about 1.9Oz total!

Nah man way less then that.. I thought it weighed 1.7 total. Should cut off a good 6 or 7 tenths.

that really does look like your right hand. all logic says its your right hand. except mirrors
i just made an awsome discovery. hold up your left hand, and look into a mirror. and it turns into your right hand.
