Thread: Tactical Automag prototype thread. Please help.

  1. #331
Hehe. I hear ya brother! I got my mag in the mail, and it should be up here in Canada in about a week. I then begin buying parts to start modifying it.

I also got to get a warp left body adn a Q Loader. Q Loaders do not seem to be very cheap on Ebay, and the warp left bodies are rarley on Ebay. I will be goin to Tuna or the AGD store, unless someone knows a better deal in town?

My personal quest for the ultimate tactical marker has actually turned into the ultimate sniper marker. With this pattern below, I figure I can totally silence the muzzle repot. It uses the "rain shroud" in the front to block the explosion coming out of the barrel, and uses a pvc pipe barrel shroud filled with whatever to silence the noise coming from the porting. I am also thinking about sculpting that valve assembly cover, and the stock to look cooler with the Q. Check it out...

The uncovered stock is just any gas thru t stock, with the bottom prong sawed off and sanded round. Then, with the CMS adapter, the Q Loader should fit there nicley... kinda like this marker on the bottom...

It does what that one does, only there is a little bend in the CMS mounting plate thing. I hope it will go like this without heavy modification. If anyone knows if this will work, please lemme know.

The stock cover, valve cover and foregrip could all be hand sculpted from epoxy putty. The barrel shroud is pvc pipe held by screws to the barrel that suspend it. The "rain guard" is my own invention. It really blocks rain out well. Here is a pic...

So, thats my latest plan. If anyone has any thoughts towards them, please lemme know.

I am pretty interested in seeing the Longbow with the suspended side mounted Q loader and warp body Lonewolf. I am not shure how to mount the Q to the side tho, as I personally do not have any Q Loader experience. Let me know if you have any luck finding a deal on that stuff, because I have to get that same stuff myself.

whats going on i only have one page displayed. on a side note i just talk to the qloader people there making a bracket to mount it against the lonbow system. it may be a disadvantage to the warp feed useres becuase with the q,bow set up you can push the loader more forward toward the begining of the barell. look at the pics where you see the 90 degree adapter that is where the q loader is going to start to far ahead for warp users.

    BACK IN THE GAME.

I dunno. I kinda like that warp on it. Looks differnt, and rips ropes. Keep me posted on that Q mounting peice.

i was thinking a q bow that slid straight on to the long bow magwell would be sweet

i could be seen with my 20 round stick mags and when things got harry, slap on 100 rounds of heck

Hehe. Well, you have become quite the mag clip feed expect as of late, and a mag clip or q loader option would be the ultimate! That even has a very broad appeal and range to consumers, and would be a really great product idea.

Oh yeah Doc, i was wondering if you had any thoughts on my latest design? You opinion is very values over here. I am just getting the parts for the marker now, and hope to be done building in a month, accounting for shipping times.

Dang Lonewolf. I aint having that problem. Hmmm, I dont know what it could be? Have you done much shooting with the Warpbow latley?

I decide to take off the warp feed system its really is ment to be used with the tank on the gun the posture you have to take makes my left hand always hitting the warp. to top that off its to much hose for me i here now from TUNAMAN that there are making warp feed bodys now. so once i get a old of one then the arp bow might return. for now i am going with the q pod setup. i really trying to minimize the front heavy weight and the long hoses. that is the point of my tac one ''balance''

i was looking around on the specops forum and found a actual owner pic of the black cell ion now i know they messed up the design of the longbow look how much clearance they have on the back of the stock thats where the long bow stock should have been placed.

after they respond to some of my post on the spec ops forums i will post these up. that setup has more mask clearance.

    Pistol Mag

Sorta a different approach. Not really mil-sim or woodsball, but unique in its own right. Surprisingly light weight and well balanced as well; 'bout as heavy as a fully loaded Beretta 9mm. No worries about cheek weld either, just sight right down the barrel. Just wanted to add my two Lincolns to some pretty cool pics. Keep up the innovations.

Oh yeah, I only have one thing to say about the Qloader. Life Time Warranty. I've sent back all sorts of parts (to include the cracked black cap in the second picture) and gotten free, yes FREE replacements every single time, usually in about a week. Try that with your Halo.

    Mags with Qloaders rule.

Sweet. Thanks for the tips Knight. I saw that configuration shortly after illistrating a very similar version myself. I think that would be really fun loading a Q there, and it seems like a good spot for it. I am looking forward to getting a CMS system to do some real hands on experimenting of my own. Thanks for the input.

Wait a sec. That Black Cell has stock clearance! They do it with an Ion and not a mag? Dang. How mean. Mags get no love. Too bad those pic rails on the Ion are not offset like on the TAC ONE.

Hehe. You can use the deluxe picatinny RIS family portrait mount. Mount any sentimental picture and enjoy it during your game of paintball. Have it facing you at al times to add valued luck to your game.

Now THERES a "mod that makes sense"!

  13. #343
Hey. Can anyone else access the Special Ops forums, or did they just ban my IP address?

Perhaps the Black Cell Ion family portrait holder pic rail was not such a good idea after all, hehe.

bwkinght04 - that's a nice setup. Any chance you could get us a profile shot, dead-on from the right of the marker?

Hmm. I've never been a big fan of going remote, though. It's just one more thing to get in my way, and on-gun air is far less cumbersome than being tied to my marker.

Here's my current setup. I'm planning to mount a QLoader either a) vertically in front of the tank or b) horizontally under the gripframe, pushed as far forward as the tank will allow. So while we're slightly off topic to pistol-type 'mags and I have the attention of a few good gun designers: thoughts, anyone? And how long is the QLoader relative to the Minimag? I want to Photoshop one on there, but I don't want to screw up the scale. If anyone wants to 'shop that for me, though, I wouldn't be offended.

Edit: famousgamer, I think the SpecOps forums are down. Just checked and it gave me a database error of some sort.

    Remote

At the time, I wasn't a big fan of remotes either. The only reason I did it was because I was going for the smallest setup possible. I've got to tell you I was pretty surprised after playing with it though. I played a lot of woodsball with it in some pretty thick brush and the remote never snagged (I use a coiled remote). I've never had a problem switching hands, shooting prone or around bunkers/trees either. If it wouldn't destroy the whole persona of my Karta/speedball rig, I think I'd even switch it to a remote setup. Here's some more pics, right and left side. Thanks for the comments.

thats a nice set up makes my want to order a automag rt i am sorry i love double trigger frames that is truly a a run and gun type of gun i will name thee THE BUNKER BUSTER. i just can see you know running up on those would be paintball snipers and infrantry john woo style i like that more than the warp feed system.

  17. #347
If I ever EVER have the cash, I will grab two of these and start rillin ropes!

Totally John Woo. Just get two remotes going to two small tanks on one belt/vest, and have at er. Plenty of paint, plenty of air... probably would not even have to reload once during a 20 minutes round. So nice.

  18. #348
Hehe. Another thread closed on the Spec Ops sight. At least I had the satisfaction of premeditating that the thread would closed before we could get a decent pic of someone sighting up with a Longbow.

That Spec Ops site is completley useless for gathering information in the first place. AO is usually ten times better for people in the know.

Anyways, got the mag stuff in the mail. Ill keep yawl postyed on construction.

Woot. Banned from Spec Ops forums again, by another disgruntled mod for no explained reason. Typical. The best revenge is living better, and my "Longbow killer" will get finished that much sooner. Woot!

    Weight

    Marpat -

I haven't put is on a scale, but it's not much more than a Beretta 9mm fully loaded. I could've shaved a few more ounces if I used an ULE rail.

I didn't get banned as of yet i am surprise beacuse since i own one i thought that i be the biggest threat, i did what spec ops 1 said i put up a post in the "Ask the SpecOps Store" thread so lets see what hapens i was staring at some real guns and my lonbow today and i notice something the stock sits higher than the barrel? then i look at the ion black cell the stocks sits a little lower than the barrel? is it me ar is that weird?

  25. #355
Dude. That design team at Special Ops is as usless as tits on a bull. They finally get the mask clearance issue addressed on the Black Cell Ion, and then the only picatinny rail is blocked by the vert feed!

The guys rushed to the defense, saying that you can "drill and tap" your Black Cell bosy for side mounted rails. They also stated that this was quick, easy, and inexpensive. What the hell? I have to "drill and tap" their retarded Ion body just so I dont have my sight blocked by the feedneck?

Look at the estimated percentage of people out there that possess the ability to "drill and tap" their paintball markers. Then think about how many people could benifit from an unobstucted top mounted sight, without a feedneck in the way. Rediculous beyond words... and that is a marker designed by professionals.

They couldnt have just looked at the Tac One pic rails could they? They just didnt make enough sense? Hey Special Ed Paintball, what makes you think people are not going to just buy this...

That is the StinkOps (love that dis) DTI2 Ion body kit. http://www.deadlywind.com/store/dti2/index.html

    Those Deadlywind guys rule.

It is only 85 bucks, and is completley milled out of a solid block of aluminum. It has its rails on angles like the Tac One body, and also has extra rails at the front of the marker, and on the front underside for laser, bipods, doo dads, etc. It is easily ten times better than the Black Cell, and I would guess it is also less expensive as well... at least after you factor in the fact that the Black Cell needs an aftermarker offset adapter or extra rails for the sides.

I dont even think Ill go back to the Special Ed forums. They are seriously a waste of time. Keep me in the know about how the Longbow debate goes LONEWOLF, even tho they closed both threads in which we were discussing it. Censoring people only serves to make them look worse, and it is pretty obvious we had blocked them into a corner that they could not get out of.

Give a person great service, and they tell ten people. Show em bad service, and they tell a thousand people.

Look, honestly, if you can make a better gun then go for it. If you could get the tactical Mag to work for you, that's cool. No BS, no passive aggressive arguments, just a "put up or shut up". I'll pat ya on the back for your efforts if, indeed, it is a superios product. And if you can find a market for it, all the better. And if you sell a thousand units in a month, that's cool too. If you don't like the design they come up with, and you have a better one, that's cool. Make it! Even if it's "Ghetto Rig" from hell, it shows your proof of concept and that it's a better design.

But you don't walk into a K-Mart, pick up something on the shelf and start screaming how awful the product is and how much cheaper it is if you go somewhere else. They will escort you off the premisis. If you don't like a product, you have the right to not like a product. You don't HAVE to buy it. But when you start slandering a product in the store where it's made and sold, then you go too far.

If you can't see a reason to play with 21 balls in a hopper, then that's your deal. What you see as a handicap I see as a challenge, and a challenge I enjoy. Then again, a lot of people can't comprehend why somoene would play stock class these days either.

But don't disrespect people because they like a product you don't. That's not only rude, but outright daft.

You just cant get it do you? Now its not about "I like this or I dont like this".

Its about whole design team of Special Ed Painball that designed something that is useless.

Its not about your view of the game anymore. I am personaly just laughing my butt off when I am looking at this black cell with rails behind feedneck.

Have you ever seen tv show "WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?"

  28. #358
Yeah Tyger. Lets talk about some serious retarded designs from Special Ed, that defy any playstyle or preference. Stop talking about me.

And yes, I provided alternatives, sketches, designs, proposals, etc. I am not just sitting around complaining. I am doing something about it. And yes... I am building my mag the way the Longbow should have been. You will see the results soon enough.

Hey, that Deadlywind can make a neato sniper rifle too!

In fact, a company like Deadlywind could make a career out of simply improving on Special Eds mess ups. Their tactical Ion is better, and they are into milling straight from aluminum. They are also into carbon fiber. They do things right, and I wish their "Stink Ops" branch every success.

I disagree, because for me the 21 tube solves a problem. I like stock class, I also like being able to put 3 in the air to clear scrub. I took a little time to re-learn what the design wanted, and it's not a "paintgun" design as much as it's a "firearms" design. Once I took a different shooting style with it, the gun was fine. You could argue that it should feel like other paintguns, but personally I adjusted.

    And I'll admit, that's a cool mod.

Personally, I haven't really had a problem with the "longbow" design, with the exception that my arms are longer than average. As such, the stock doesn't "feel" right. It's about an inch or so too short. Trust me, I have this problem with most of my paintguns until I get a drop forward that feels right In this case, I'm thinking of an extention on the back stock.

But I would like to see a working prototype of your design, and see what you're doing with it. Images and photoshop is meaningless without a real product. If it does the job better, then that's cool. But slamming other people, passive aggressive arguing style (where you play the victim) and general idiotic behavior does not exactally endear you to anyone. Now if you're right, you can say so without being smug or rubbing someone's nose in it. If you're wrong, you can take it with some dignity.

    Careful what you wish for.

My automag stuff arrives soon, and my own personal AGD tactical marker will be underway. If people want to ignore design critisism becuase they have not actually build working solutions, well... thats a little stupid. Common sense on paper is still common sense. Yet, If seeing an actual working alternative to the Longbow is what it takes for people to realize how wrong the Longbow design is... then that is what they will get.

The only thing that offends me is that most people that defend the Longbow outright ignore people like LONEWOLF and Silentmike, who have to rely on custom milling just to make a Longbow fit then with any measure of comfort. I see people ignore them and I find that insulting. What a slap in the face. I dont respect Special Ops and its drones because they dont respect customers with complaints. Valid complaints.

Special Ed Paintball wants to sweep people like this under the carpet, so as not to worry new prospective buyers. Well... I for one am not one to just roll over like that.

So, unless you have anything to add to the design of the new tactical automag Tyger, why dont you go hang out on the Special Ops boards and suckle at the teet of your bandwidth providers. I for one would like to get back to designing.
