An extra Detent and Eyes, with a drill press

Talk about pucker factor. You have to be really steady to do this on a drill press with the bits i used, or the bit will brake. This was fun and it will anodize out perfectly. I used a 1/8" straight dremmal router bit in the press to flat spot the areas to be drilled and away i went. The detent was drilled from the other side through the other detent hole to keep it true. 1/8 npt is the tap for the detents. A 1/2" straight router bit was used to recess the area around the detent. That is the only thing I messed up on. I was able to correct it before it did more than scratch the surfach around the detent and it will come out when it is polished.
    Tested and they work!

Edit: A miter saw with sharp finish blade and go slow to shorten the body like this. Thats the best way to keep it square.

I take no responsibility for what others try based on what I do.

    You're ballsey for sure, lol.

    Do the eyes line up?

How did you go about locating and aligning the eye holes?

    If it works, great job.

They line up perfectly. I used the one you did for me to get measurements from.

I see why it is expensive to get this done, It looks easy but it is not. It takes time and it has to be perfect.
