Talk about pucker factor. You have to be really steady to do this on a drill press with the bits i used, or the bit will brake. This was fun and it will anodize out perfectly. I used a 1/8" straight dremmal router bit in the press to flat spot the areas to be drilled and away i went. The detent was drilled from the other side through the other detent hole to keep it true. 1/8 npt is the tap for the detents. A 1/2" straight router bit was used to recess the area around the detent. That is the only thing I messed up on. I was able to correct it before it did more than scratch the surfach around the detent and it will come out when it is polished.
Tested and they work!
Edit: A miter saw with sharp finish blade and go slow to shorten the body like this. Thats the best way to keep it square.
