    Talking PBX Viking Project

Just thought Id post up some progress pics of my latest Viking project.

A couple months ago I picked up an 03 PBX Viking that Sam Rhodes had done a little milling on. He benched the project and I scooped up the remains and sent it off to Jared at Destructive Customs.

Here is what it started as.

Here is where the work began. I decided very early on that I really wanted to go with a single trigger on this. I play mech so much lately that its just more natural.

Here I had him round out the tubes and got rid of the oval body recesses. Slotted the trigger guards. Lightened the frame and dovetailed it so I dont need a rail and also chopped the top tube and bolt.

Here is the hidden pocket milling and the single trigger frame. He also recessed the frame screw holes. Nice little touch.

Here is the tray and noid areas. Id say its borderline anorexic!

Here is good shot of the body. You can see the "buttcrack" tube milling.

Here is the trigger for the double frame. Acid Customs cf. Though I imagine I will be using the single trigger almost exclusively. Its good to have choices.

    Eye cover milling:

DC's stamp of approval. Kind of reminds me of a chicks lower back tat.

Got an RT valve for it too, going to be a nasty shooter. Its headed out for ano on Monday and I cant wait!

Looks good, but i personally would have had the existing design continued while still cutting stuff away to keep it from looking like all the other ule'd vikings, and it would flow better.

The serial was originally on the front. PBX milled them off doing the front, round reg cut.

I never know until Jared is ready to send it out. Keeps me from crying. I just tell him to bill me. Hes always fair.

Im glad you guys like it. Do I think it will top the molten gold Vike? Hmmmm, just different. I had totally different goals with both of them. Reeeeeealy looking forward to the single trigger though. Back to basics!

Sweet gun. Just got my excal cut n carved from DC. It's off at ano right now, I've got raw pictures but don't want to share until fully complete.

As for the pump comment, try and goggle the other team next time, not your own crew...

First and foremost Id like to thank the custom shops that made my vision a reality.

Jared and the crew at Destructive Customs: I cant say enough good words. You guys are the bomb.
Rick at Acidrain Anodizing. Awesome work and a great guy to deal with.
    And
Rick at Acid Custom Paintball for the sweet carbon fiber trigger. These guys do great work.

Well it is (finally) my pleasure to present my latest project, affectionately named Gunnr. No, its not a typo. Gunnr is a Valkyrie. Her name means battle. The Valkyries decide who among the dead of battle are worthy of entrance to Valhallah. But enough jibber-jabber, this aint no history lesson!

Full shot from the left. The single trigger is freaking sick. Im in love!

Right full shot. Eh forgot to put the CP jewel on the ASA.

Closeup of the eyecover detail. Please excuse the chewed up Sticky that will be replaced immediately. You can just barely see the hidden pocket milling.

The good ol' DC tramp stamp. Im guessing you will see more of theses soon. Thats condensation you see there, the polish is beautiful.

Had to rep Acid Customs. I thought the yellow sticker they sent was ideal cleavage fodder against the black.

Closeup of the CP ASA. Love the ano detail on this little piece. Almost like a storm cloud.

All dressed up and ready to mow.

I will get some pics of it with the double trigger when I have some more time (and Jared sends it to me ) If you would like more info on the build you can browse the original thread here: ...for something a little different...
