And of course we have lots of knowledge from the last 20 years so if you happen to come by when Forest is there it is likely you will be there for awhile.........Isn't that right Looper?
It was really hard to leave, but I did not want to over stay my welcome. Talking to Tracy and Forest was like talking to living paintball encyclopedias.

One of the many items I got to see and hold on my tour was the Purple Armson Semi... And the book you see below. Let me tell you, it is one thing to read about a paintball marker but when you have the guy that designed and build it give you a personal tour, lets just say it was a very cool day. can't wait for my next visit.

Man that's nice...still glad I sent my deposit in sight unseen. How thick is the bottom area where the detent channel is now?

Also, if you can work out a backbottle ASA, that would be super sweet. One of the things I considered was a pistol version, with a center feed, angel threaded elbow adapter and springfed mags that slide on over the dovetail. Backbottle ASA would be a convenient place to plug in a 12 gram changer!

what polishing method did you use?
polishing metal is what I do, and the method(s)
i use wont effect tolerances in the slightest.
close fits were always an issue an several of my former employers.
one was accurate to -0.0005" at 68*F and that was a nightmare.
I'm just one guy so i couldn't polish an entire production run in
a reasonable time frame, but i could come to where you are and show you
how to do what i do. then the ball would be in your court.

dend, it was to get rid of the gap between the breech and body for a better look. it probably would have to be a full channel though. it could just be a recessed circle where the detent would be since the breech is lowered in place.

and off-topic : ptp is a couple blocks from Forest Ave. ? (yellow road just south of the "A")

At that intersection take a right and then your next driveway right. You should call or email them before you drop by just to be courteous and make sure they are there. Oh, and plan on at least a couple hours, there is a lot of stuff to view.

I hate to add to the abundance of requests already here, but could you illustrate/describe how the 45 degree setting will work. Will there be a basic feedneck attachment that will then be utilized by a elbow?

I'm one of those few 'freaks' who actually uses a red-dot on my mag and having hopper left or right is ideal for me.

Even if I don't buy, thank you PTP for all of your efforts on behalf of the 'mag community.

Just an idea to toss out to ptp (might help with the battery case issue). Since I have been asked this a few times already, thought I might pass it on.

if you would want to redesign a new battery pack to fit the design, I would be more then willing to do the battery work to fit the new casing. I can use nice small size Li-ion cells to fit any design, so you wouldn't be restricted to a huge battery.

The 8 point star pattern on the breach block and front block allow you to set the breach block at 90L , 45L , Vertical , 45R and 90R and bolt the gun back together .

Very simple and easy to do .

The channel below the breach block is the only way i could get the detents to clear the body when the breach block is at 90L and 90R .

The lower rail thickness is .235 , allowing just enough thread depth for the front grip screw and being made of 7075 give us the strength and hardness to eliminate any flex or bending .

We need to include the feed tube in the drawings (7/8" tube - Angel threads). 45 will allow you to use a standard loader elbow. Don't forget that Armson sights can be used behind a vertical feed: www.armsonusa.com.

since the feed doesn't rotate, but is aligned into the various positions, do you need the detent slot?

wouldn't a detent hole in the center and a relieved edge for the 45 positions work?

With all the meat left on the body, couldn't you just mill some picatinny rails on to it?
