Automag Valve Registry! Post your brand(s) and serial #(s)

Somone asked the question "How many automags are there in the world?" and the best of Automags.org put together this answer: "Uh... A lot?"

The truth is that between Tom Kaye and Dave Zupan nobody really knows how many are out there, how many were out there, how many are propping doors open or are at the bottom of lakes or have been melted down and made into car parts or whatever it may be... To ask the question "How Many" would be to ask an impossible question.

What we can do is this; a registry for all of Automags.org, just for valves (not full markers).

Some of us own upwards of 20 Automags, and some of us own just one. Some have valves with no body, and others with no internals. All you need is a valve with a name on one side and a serial # on the other and I will add it to the registry along with your username. Eventually we'll get most of AO to post up, and come up with a rough number of mags owned by Automags.org members.

    Here's what you do:

    1) Get all the valves you own in one room.

    2) Put aside any where the back of the valves serial # doesn't match the front (we'll leave that for a later date...)

    3) Write down everything on (A) the drivers side (no air input) and (B) passengers side (air input). (A) is the name and (B) the serial.

    4) Post the name and serial # of each valve using your AO account in this thread. Put multiple valves per post if you need to.

    5) If you find one later, post again! Don't edit your old post; we don't want to lose any.

    6) Eventually this will end up in Excel.

    Post up!

P.S: Moderators feel free to do what you please with this thread. If it needs to be moved, edited or otherwise altered go right ahead.

I have left the numbers on my jeweled valves, but I bet a lot of mix-matched sets are polished. The numbers should also tell you what model they are as well, shouldn't they?

i will tell you guys now that a lot of valves and regulators were surrendered for destruction here in Australia. Our Firearm laws get very strict here after a mass shooting in 95, most of the states banned paintball so the only way a lot of players could hold on to their markers (for sentimental reasons) was to surrender the valve assemblies for destruction.

If the valves were numbered sequentially, wouldn't the easiest way to keep track of how many of each valve were made be to log the highest number you see of each one rather than keeping actual physical track of every single valve? Just a thought.

If I recall correctly, they weren't really numbered sequentially. More like all over the place. Maybe sequentially in lots, but besides that, i am not sure.

    Almost forgot:

    UPDATED!

From here on, no chitchat unless it's about your valve. I appreciate the input but it makes logging all these #s more tedious. That said if you want to do something like this, feel free:

    "Valve: RT Pro
    Serial: RTP******

Comment: I've had it ten years. I bought it new. I stole it from Tom Kayes trunk. My mom bought it for me. I bought it for my mom. I bought it for your mom as thanks for the... It is anodized gloss red. It is powdercoated green. It is jeweld or polished. It is no longer on a marker. Etc."

Hey Frizzle, To save you some time/effort, if you go over to PBL I have already started such a thread with quite a few entries on it.

You can copy and paste it over here if you like.

I got offline for a bit and lost the fire to keep up with it. Sorry.

But the data is there if you wanna check it out.

Serial seems to imply it's a PTP valve... Any idea what model (before it got jeweled)?

This one says "X-Valve" and doesn't just have an "X"? Let me know either way and I'll update it.

Anyway, UPDATED. We're off to a good start. I'll take the PBL info at some point when I've got more time.
