    Started my mini gun mag

It will have spinning barrels and will look like the ones in the movies with a 2000 round hopper on top of it.
    The mill i used

Here is the piece of aluminum that i am making the EP sear tripping box from. The trigger will sit on top of the marker with the 2000 round hopper in front of the triger frame, so i only need a small hollow block to hold the noid and ram.

A little work with a drill press and a slide vice and we are off and milling

The tools i am using cost less than $200, A ryobi 1/4hp drillpress and a $100 slide vice. It is still ruf but it wont be for long

I cut the ram flat on all four sides and taped it to the noid. The lowers are ready to go

The hopper material. I wish i had a cornis brake, or box and pan brake. That would make this a fast job but without either i am down to the beat it method. I will be smoothing everything out and make the inside of the hopper less jagged once i have had a successful test run.

The 45k psi back pack air suply.

The current progress. I added feet, a lid and a cover for the barrels on the front. I also started smoothing things out.

The material for the barrels, 4" cupling, 1/2" pvc tubing, and 1/2" plywood.

I was given a visual demonstration of this beast in person. And even though the mini gun was invisible it was still very impressive!!!!

    This ---> is an understatement.

You could do some spinning barrels, rotating over the central, shorter one, justo to give it the real "look", you know? All you had to do was attach a circle with the barrels coming off of it on one side and, on the other, attach a portable drill to make them spin. I mean, if you are already considering the weight of 2000 rounds over your Mag and the barrels, the drill won't make for such extra weight LOL. You can even derive the trigger wires to turn the drill on.

Hill, do you have a picture of the look you're going for?

It will be functional this weekend but i still need a board that will do 30 BPS with the eyes off. The hopper will be fun to build. Fortunately i have been through sheet-metal tech-school and i still remember a thing or two. i hope to try it out saturday

    PS: Updated pics

Once i get the Tadao board on monday it will rip on full auto and i will not need to three finger the trigger. I will also have the hopper totally operational at max capacity.

You do know that the image shown at 0:45 makes one think you are doing something nasty, right? LOL

Anyways, I like the project. Came out pretty simple, yet efficient. The only two things I'd do:

    - make a smaller loader, maybe for 1,000 rounds instead of 2,000 (that one looks way too big for me)
    - make the 6 barrels over the firing one and install a good loudner on the one you actually use.

I still would try making the 6 barrels turn with a drill, just for the looks. But that could be done later.

Going well as it is. Congrats on the project.

    First things first.

    love the socks!!!

Thats actually how I showed up to Cureball. Not proud to admit it

And yes it looks like you are playing with yourself out in the woods. May want to adjust a few things

MPSD- I believe Hill is going to have the barrels rotate with a warp motor. No point adding a drill if something much smaller can do the job.

Edit: I thought he said a warp motor. But that info is no longer in the thread. hmm.

WOW I love this thing. 1000 rounds uninterrupted at 25 bps. The ram set screws were not locktited in so they came loose at around 1000 rounds but you get the idea. FIRE POWER!

Well i wont be doing another video like that for a while. It was like $20. But i will keep the thread updated as i figure out the rotating barrels.

I cant wait to use it on some unsuspecting Agglets. For now it looks stupid, until i pull the trigger.

if he does that then he needs to rethink the loader which would be wider at the base and require something like another rotor to feed it which would mean might as well just get a 55gal drum cut holes in the bottom and dump in a few cases and let it eat

all that aside though thats freaking awesome!!!! im not sure but i think i peed a lil bit

Holy Hell ...thanx for the photobucket vid....You should put decals all over the box hopper like a Nascar...maybe you could get a paint sponsorship so you can afford to shoot that thing...paging VF-XX.
