If I am running HPA, is there any benefit to running my macro line from the asa to a gas through foregrip? I think I would prefer to run the macro from the asa to the valve directly.

Nope, all a preference thing.
Of course it works-its AGD
The fore grip just gives a nice path that keeps the macro-line away from the side of the grip frame. There is no flow benefit one way or the other.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
