    gold spring benefits

New mag owner, only used the silver spring so far and just worked out all the bugs from the previos owner. I'm wondering what benefits come from tuning with the gold spring? Faster cycles? More efficiency? What's the goal?

The fact that its gold and not silver isnt enough for you?

It's a shorter/weaker spring. It's much easier to get tuned with the Level 10 bolt, but it's harder on paint than a finely tuned silver or red spring. Also, if you need to shoot at super low velocities (250 fps or so), for night games or indoor games or whatever, then the gold spring is most likely to get you there without any bolt stick.

    Hey Red

Biggest issue with the silver is the velocity issue, it'll be way to high. Some mag won't even cycle and just chuff all day long. They aren't ment to be used as is. They're more for tinkering with.

The gold spring will give you better efficacy then any of the springs. If you look in the tech forms under lvl 10 problems, you'll find a lot of good advice there
