    Stacked Tube/Rail?

    Has anyone ever attempted to design/build a rail that would allow you to hide all of your Pnuemag/EP components in it? I am thinking along the lines of a stacked tube design; lower tube/rail would house ram, LPR etc. upper tube would be valve, body, barrel. Just a thought, would make for a clean look and maybe add a little wow factor with custom milling.

    The diameter of the ram and LPR pistons are the main problem with that. Pneumagger had designed a frame that would replace both the rail and frame while providing a dedicated ram space. It was going to be expensive to machine and then he had to go and get married and a real job, so it kind of piddled out.

    You could go out to the sides, like an angel/viking "rail" design.

    Yes. Saint Noir probably remembers this design (the one I showed to Vin, with the "unique" integrated barrel devices, and the slide-y frame you helped with). The problem I encountered was channeling air to the appropriate places without the marker looking STUPID and being a pain to maintain. Started thinking about electronic alternatives - might be some merit there.

    Which is a general problem that often gets left out. People are worrying about the components and how they work, but routing the silly airlines is just as much trouble.

    Lets take this a step further. What would it take to remove the reg from the back of the x-valve and run it through the front grip like most other markers? I feel a new age mag with weight savings isn't that far away or hard to do.

    It's a little (lot) harder than doing it with a classic valve, but I've done it. Involves two O-rings and a lathe and a pain in your butt. To be honest it's still the same weight, just re-distributed, if not a bit heavier. I'd like to see an aluminum velocity adjuster/cap that's a little bit lighter though... And you could anodize it...

    My design had a completely different valve back with some electronics involved. Much heavier.

    Interested in doing another Xvalve? I have been in touch with Deus Machina for a couple of months now and he has yet to deliver on anything for an Xvalve. I would be interested in getting two caps if you have the time.

    LOL it's like the 10th time someone has asked me. I don't currently have the facilities. I think the guy with my old mag is called FrootLuped or something - he might let LUKES or XT clone it if ya ask nice.

    Did you take the reg off the x-valve then run a reg thru the front grip? That's something I my wanna do. If that's what you did any tips?

    Been trying to see if anyone will just make an aluminum classic style valve, but no one seems interested. This would be eaiser to cap and be anodizeable which is what myself and a couple of others are after.

    Its easier done with a Classic ATM since no one seems to be delivering on a cap for an Xvalve. Deus Machina on MCB is supposed to be working on it, and has supposedly done it, but he seems to be busy lately.

    I have a capped classic valved pump and am working on another capped valved pneu project. Yes, once you remove the reg from the valve you have to use and external reg.
