Can't wait......Want to put a set of the single on my pump

Would I be able to get the grip panels done with the AGD Logo (lion) like the ones you do for the 45?

Not a lot to report this week mostly worked on a stack of customer parts. I did pick up the material for frames, panels and triggers today. The last tool order arrived so I can finish the next operation on this proto type to check tool paths, design and fit.

The safety holes on this frame ended up a smidge bigger than needed so I ordered different drills that I still need to test. (Tools are in house)

I will probably just cut the single trigger frame, panels and trigger next and test that frame, if everything is up to par I will be ready to cut the parts.

I have enough materials to cut 24 frames total, if I am left to decide how many to do of each I will do 12 singles and 12 doubles. So I will offer a pre order to allow anyone interested in a frame to preorder so they can be sure to get what they want. If we end up doing all singles that’s fine I just need to know up front what to make. Pre order does not dictate if the project gets done, I will make 24 regardless, sales will determine if I ever make more.

    That’s all for now.

A little update on the prototype, I finally got all my tooling together and went today to finish the last operation and a dull tool ate it up and sent me back to square one. Now I have to cut another prototype for testing. I know it seems like this is taking forever (and it is) but I am working on it and intend on seeing it through to production.

Well, since you are already cutting a new one, how about doing a single trigger one this time?

Because I wouldn’t be able to test it unless I mill the trigger too, that would just slow it down even more. I gotta stay on the shortest route possible.
The single trigger design (and trigger) is complete though and will go to production. The mechanics are exactly the same as the double so I really don’t need to do a prototype at this point.

Makes sense but isn't it compatible with a regular AM single trigger?

No idea if it is the same, I just used the working geometry off my intelli triggers to make the single trigger.

As far as I know, it should be the same.

OK, I’m back on track. Got another frame cut today down to the last operation then ran out of time and steam. I should be able to finish it up tomorrow.

Everything should be in place on my side, I have all the tooling and materials so we are down to geometry, if it works we are good to go.

I machined several test pieces (4) for the top and last operation and everything is good to go but I ran into some trouble with the narrow trigger slot. I believe I have a solution, but had to place another tool order, so we are in another hold position until tooling arrives.

The initial testing on the double trigger is done. Had to make some small changes in tooling and machine programming but it should be ready to go.

I’m going to get to the single trigger frame programming tomorrow and get a prototype cut to show you guys asap so we can get orders going.

The frame came in one ounce lighter than the Intelli Frame.

so are you doing like the m90 did and have a spot for mounting a micro switch, pnumatics, magnets, etc?

i know it would cost more to add those things and do the testing that is required.

    your thoughts?
