Interesting. I know when I was looking at FRBs awhile back I was getting back considerably higher. So now I really cant undersatand why someone out there is charging $50 for international shipping for a UL frame.....

I have a suggestion for tail end of body Renie.

IMO it would be better with an angled cut similar to regular RT rails as the blunt, square end looks odd to me. Really nice looking concept.. the milling on sides has a nice flow to it. The stub feedeck similar to the Ego is also a great idea. Would make the neck a lot stronger and avoid the risk of stripped threads. Let me know when it's time to place an order... I would definately be up for one

I think it looks great the way it is. My only suggestions would be to 1. design a gas thru to go with the body. 2. rethink the fixed feedneck. 3. Consider offering a shorter AM/MM version.

This is an integrated body and rail. It will be RT length. I was suggesting that perhaps a shorter version be offered, but honestly, if #1 is completed, the need for #3 is somewhat mitigated.

Because you have to trust who you're shipping to if you want to ship at the $16.96 rate. You get no ability to track the shipment that way. If you want tracking, you have to go with Global Express, not Priority International, which puts you into that $50 range.

That said, shipping a small FRB and then adding registered mail with return receipt (basically delivery confirmation) costs about $28 total IIRC. You can't add registered mail with return receipt over the internet, though; you have to physically go to the post office.

Back on topic, though, I do like the hidden detents idea. I'm more excited about the features of this body than the design itself, which reminds me of another body I saw around here recently (but don't remember the name). And I would also advocate for feedneck threads, so that a feedneck of choice can be used.

I would like to see a top veiw. Is it split like fangs or a solid wedge.

I would also like to see an AM/MM length, but I won't probably have the money so....

I had another look tonight Renie and think I'd prefer a curved cut on tail like this

How would it look if you matched the curve from the front of the body, scaled it down and inverted it? The idea is to achieve some symmetry instead of having some random curved cut. just an idea

It was indeed a quick edit done in MS Paint

FWIW I tried to copy the curved profile cut under the top/rear section of the body

Not picking on the drawing, just suggesting an idea for the actual CAD drawing. For what it's worth, this is one of the only custom bodies that I have seen that I actually like and would consider buying; and I have excellent taste

have you thought of milling the top portion above the barrel threads up and out like the PM8 look? i also hope you keep the back flat, perfect for ego frames (no gap)

Couldn't quite picture what you were describing yesterday mate, but now I've seen it, nice one!
Hope you put it into production as for one it'll be nice to get away from using the rubbish stock detents!!

    Unbelievably hot! Nice design.
