    Is the BPS race over?

With current caps on the rate of fire is the BPS race over in paintball? If it is where was its apex and what marker was the "winner" so to speak? What has it been replaced by?

I asked this question on MCB as well but figured AO might want to chime in

Sure about that? Who real world tested the fastest marker? I'd be talking factory fast. Not tricked out on aftermarket goodness either.

The mag is still the fastest at 26+ balls per second WITHOUT SHOOTDOWN.

I'd say the race is finally over since top end BPS is irrelevant now. I'd say there was no "clear" winner since we have to ask the question in the first place. The fastest marker I've seen WITH PAINT is still zak vetter's mag hooked up to the scuba tank which was something around 30bps.

The BPS race has been replaced (to a lesser extent) by a race for the lightest gun. Also the race for "most efficient" is gaining some ground thanks to the G6R's staggering numbers bringing it back in the spotlight.

so if i could figure out how to get the tripple mag to RT (wont happen) i could get almost 60 bps.

lets start the race over again

i think AGD won since we as a whole have the ability to come the closest to 100% no ball breakage, WITHOUT eyes.
    yippity skip.

now lets mainstream the tripple mag, and put the race to a full end. 60BPS woot.

yeah but automags still have support for their markers.

angel stops with the support for a marker once anew one comes out.

    and they still suck.

dont get me wrong when i saw my first angel i was like, damn that thing can shred paint.

i needed to paint a picket fence for my neighbor.

I've shot mags since the 90s but every marker has its place.

As for the Angel, I think I have owned almost every generation of angel except for the LED. My bad luck falls with DYE guns. We killed with Gen-E trixies but once DYE switched up to a DM4 I sucked with tuning them.

And I never had an issue with parts for old generation angels. In fact APS has been out for a year and there are more readily available older gen parts then the A1 platform.
