Thread: Ideas for lasering on the triple

Ideas for lasering on the triple

so im trying to think of an idea for lasering on the triple mag.

so far here is what i have come up with not that much but something.

    Ideas so far:

-laser "Triple Mag" on the valve
-laser a serial on each valve "TM 0001, TM 002, TM 003"(of course each serial on each valve)

    Questions:
-? should i get some 45* grip panels from luke and have "Triple Mag" engraved in the panels?
-? what barrels should i go with ?( i would like to keep them all the same length do you guys have any ideas?)?

    Details:
    -everything will be dust black.
    -1 triple mag rail
-3 XMT ULE Aluminum minimag bodies
    -inteliframe
    -3 RPG clamping feednecks
    -3 re-anodized x-valves

or should i keep it all Dust black with the only lasering being the valves.

You should post this in the "official photoshop thread"..... Lol. Could you post some close up shots of just the mag without the barrels?

so looks like it will be to expensive to laser the gun even with the random hexes.

so i need to get the valves that i had reanodized just lasered.

for something like this i would actually like to talk to someone face to face, but aparently can't.

i have no way of designing the vector file. so im at aloss there.i dont really want to spend 300$ to get this thing lasered. and the guy on the f-in phone didnt speak english, and i dont speak spanish. so theres that.

and this is at Laser My Gun.

    anyone on here do lasering?

Ill whip up a few ideas tomorrow. I think we should keep the design pretty simple. Did u want all the valves to be the same design? Are these all the parts? Any foregrips?

Have you tried kohn sports? If not i would hit up the yellow pages to find someone close by that can laser engrave.

does anyone have a better name to be lasered on each valve, beside "Triple Mag"

i would like the same word(s) on each valve.

    working on the forgrip idea.
woud be nice to make a stock to hide the LPR in.

but i dont think it is bulky enough for a stock,

thats what it would look like if there was a horizontal forgrip or or vert forgrip.

no shooting yet i need to mill and drill the lower block first.

im kinda gungho posting on this, i feel like im giving people a false sense that this is a fast moving project.

the project only move as fast as the money leaving my pocket, and lately my money has been pretty motionless.

so thats where we stand right now.

i need to start taking things a little slower.

i wish i was shooting now.

Renie here on AO helped me with the CAD, he actually did about 98 % and my 2% guidence.
but the orientation is 100% my idea. then i handed My CAD off to XMT here on AO a BAM.

    we have what i wanted.

Renie actually got me to the point of being able learn what CAD/CAM is all about. i am now going to school for it.

we will se where i am in 5 years.

    X-Mas Gift

Because of the sheer excitement that this project is bringing to the AO community and myself, I would like to donate my Vector files I have from the T-Shirts I did. If you decide to laser, at least you will have a clean file to work from. PM me your email. By the way, nice shirt in the pic...lol.

Also my graphic artist, Andrew Sloan help design this logo. Let me know and I can give you his number.

To help with weight, what about using Deadlywind barrels and foregrip?

    KNM:

First thing I want to do is try and find the font that AGD used. Unfortunately it is pretty hard. I've found one that matches the 3 pretty good. I would rather use a current font, than to recreate the text by hand.... It would take forever...

I did not apply a curve to the font so it will look a little different from the picture but I wanted to show you the font itself.

Once we are ok with the serial and warning i'll move to the fun part of logo design and color matching.
