We arent going to let cockers be cooler than us are we?

    Saw this earlier:
    http://www.mcarterbrown.com/forums/c...r1-thread.html

My first thought was "sweet! how cool is it to have a modular platform!"

Then my second thought was "There is zero reason this couldn't be done with a mag!"

What would it take to get an adapter made for a warp body and to modify the body for FS rounds?

How hard would it be to adapt a mag feed for a ULE or 2k9 horizontal feed body

    nuot much i would think.
    just some milling.

Ill have to keep that in mind when I get my 2k9 back form the guys at proteam products.
Or maybe I'll pick up a ULE side feed.

id bet with the 2k9 bodies you could just mill a different breach block and drop it right in... that could be pretty slick actually.

KNM i like the way you operate

im workin on the cad to do that.
im just really slow at producing a good cad.

i have my guys here on the navy base who can make me stuff.
i just need to get my own stuff done first.

the breach should not be a problem to get made.
a good adapter, to make some good slap on magazine would be nice.
unless there is already a magazine that would work.

we should get TK on this.

Seems like if there was enough real interest in something like this XMT would be a good person to get involved. He obviously has the body milling thing down these days. How much would it take to redesign the MiniMag bodies that he just recently did to take a side mount or even top mount mag? There are several different magazines being made lately to accept FS rounds. Not sure which would be easier to use though.

knownothingmags, a Sten? Really? Oh no, that cheap, ugly looking thing won't due for a automag. A new mag design based on THIS would look awesome, and kind of steampunk at the same time:

Wouldn't it be easier to convert the ULE warp feed bodys for side feed from a spring-feed magazine?

Basically remove the feedneck and create some sort of adapter that would screw into the body? This way it could be used to top mount as well.... Heck you could use it on any body that utilizes Angel threaded feednecks, not just Mags. Mag fed Angel for the win! To go even further, it could be offered in different threads. You could mag feed virtually any marker that utilizes a threaded feedneck.

I was thinking of modifying a steel body with a modified doc's cocker adapter to accomplish this, that way I could WELD a prototype

    CAD comes later
