*new Product* Aluminum Minimag Style Body

Last week i started a thread to see what people would like to see made....the majority of you said you would like to see a aluminum minimag style body. I worked a stupid amount of hours this weekend on this prototype.

all thats left to do on this is cut the slots in the front...I will do that tomorrow or wed. Check back for updated pictures.

    Body specs....

-Made from high strength 7075 aluminum
    -Threaded for dual angel detents
    -Uses autococker threaded barrels
    -Angel feedneck threads

These will be sold in a pre-order with a 6-8 week lead time. watch the dealers section mid to late this week for details.

XT customs specializes in automag parts....With both in house cnc turning and machining centers there is no job we cant handle. Need a custom part made???? send me a PM

    After milling minus front slots

Slots milled and modeled on my emag

I need a couple of those. I'm thinking of building 2 myself. I want to hear the price first.

are you going to be including the steel washer n c-clip?

also, wonder if it would be feasible to make some twistlock? and at that maybe one without the minimag slots milled in front (if that's doable I'd want to make it RT classic Styled in front)

and yea, it's asking a lot and don't worry if it's not doable or would be to much to do so

Yes they will come with the washer and c clip.... Autococker threads only

Pump milling may be an option....warp feed? Not sure

I know this idea had come up sometime within the last year (even remember seeing some 3D drawings), but this thread shows actual progress. Very nice!

Can you mill the bottom minimag slots less (just the bottom) so that this works with a emag\rt style rail?

consider making the rail part of the body forming a unibody?
with the body contours of the MM...
    like this only different:

Scott's also in the process of doing a run of these bodies for some of us over on BEO.

He's been in talks with a shop to get them done.

I milled the slots tonight. This body should look really awesome on my acid red emag once i polish it.

for those that are wondering ACE and Pump milling services will be available options.

Ive gotta run some numbers this week to figure out pricing and then i will start the preorder in the dealers section.

My goal is to keep the price low on these. They will be slightly more expensive than a AGD ULE body.....More material and also deeper bores takes longer to cut.

a warp version might be an option...just need to take some measurements and modify the program a bit.

    I made a unibody...the shockwave....its not bottom feed though

still playing with the rifle mag idea! Did you ever make good use of the blank you bought from me around 4 years ago?

  27. #27

    unibody

I think the unibody would be great this way it would rule out pim alignment issues with body to rail

Not a fan of a unibody design. Hopefully he would make a body by itself if he does decide to do the unibody.

What's the radius of this body compared to a ule? It looks skinnier?
