    Need X Mod

I want the xmod for my e mag. I have the programmer board but no software, I know there are copy right laws and I don’t want to steal it. Someone put a lot of effort and time in it and that’s not cool. What I would like to know is

    1) Who can I buy a copy of the software from, that’s not a bootleg and can help me program it?

    2) Who can I send it to that’s good fast and reliable?

I would prefer #1 but beggars can’t be choosers.
Also would be nice to know how much.

    Thanks

Both questions have only one answer:

Tunamart is the only place you can legally send it now. Tuna is exclusively authorized to flash the chip with the Xmod firmware.
Though I suppose you could technically also send it to Paul, I don't think he's offering flashing services anymore.

I wrote an article about this last year for reference: You may be able to aquire xmod software from other users, but it's good to be in the know about your responsibilities as an xmodder as well as some difficulties that might arise.

Drix: Great guide! This would be a prime example of the kind of information we want to put in the new AO content management system! Btw, I noticed the print thread view was not looking right so I fixed the issues with the logo. Thanks for the post!

Thanks Bunny, I set out to make something that would stand as a great resource after a not-so great experience. Took a bit of a crapper this afternoon when I read that Lorne himself checked in and seems to have approved, not sure I've ever seen him on. Glad I could contribute something worth while to one of my favorite forums

**Edit:** Oh god does my grammar need an edit on that post, that'll be happening soon.
