    When To replace Bolt Spring...

I've got a RT valve w/ lvl 7 and the bolt spring is prolly 1/4 below the tip of the bolt. IS it time to replace it?

My impression was as long as the spring was taller than the bolt, it was still good. Might be time to change it out.

Yes, if the bolt spring is relaxed below the face of the bolt, it is definitely time to replace.

The bolt spring is a consumable item. It should be replaced regularly as part of your general maintenance. You can generally tell when the bolt starts to get weak. You will start to get more incidents of short stroking on a level 7.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

Make sure you tag and save it as "worn spring". They're perfect for pump mags.
