Question CMS: Need some examples of "famous" automags

AO: I am working on an idea for the Content Management System and would like to see your thoughts about some of the "famous" automags that have been built.

When you think of a unique/famous AGD gun which ones come to mind?

Just off the top of my head...
    • Infection or Chimera SFL
    • Spacemag
    • Dual Mag
    • RKL X-mag
    • Ed Head E-mag

If you have any more ideas please post up!!

I'm doing a workup of my old team gun currently, I on post it soon. It's a "1 of 1" factory Autoresponse Gen2 Micromag; one of two markers in that pattern done by PK Selective, blue/black/silver acidwash with red splash over it - the other had a standard frame and traditional firing mechanism, but I sold it (like an idiot) 10+ years ago. It doesn't have an awesome name so we'll have to work on that but it's definitely unique.

    As for others...
    -ODD Bonedaddy Xmag
-Docs Machine "TippMag" over-under Classic Mag/Model 98 Hybrid
    -PBX/MTX mQ Valve Automag
-Mystery Mag (the one you tried to ID)

    I will think of more...

One of the ones I consider famous is the X-Kitty xmag that Clare had.

I know it was a problem gun. Always seemed to be finicky but it did not deserve to be parted out and destroyed. Especially when there were people that wanted it whole.

Wonder what ever happened to Claire? Back in the day she was on here all the time.

As for mags. All the space mags are what I instantly think of as stand out famous.

There are a ton of unique and custom guns. What exactly constitutes famous? AO famous?

I was thinking more than just expensive/unique/AO-famous... But those would be factors of course.

-Made by AGD as a prototype, team gun or unique factory custom job.
-Customized heavily by AGD staff for personal use.
-Made by private label as a prototype, team gun or unique factory custom job.
-Customized heavily by private label staff for personal use.
-"Vaporware" or other markers that didn't make it to market.
-Legendary Airsmith / Anodizer unique creations.

It has to have been sold at least 10 times, that way there are pictures of it floating all around the internet from BST threads.

    (tongue-in-cheek of course)

I'm looking for stuff like Captain Pinky. The PBX has a pretty cool back story behind it. What kind of splash kit is on it?

Maghog didn't build the Space Mags. He did the research for the thread found here: https://www.automags.org/forums/showt...ciation-Thread

Which iteration of the Joker Mag would you want to re-do? That's a famous one.

Would the Alien Mag be qualified? If so, I can take better pics of it:

And how about the Israeli Mag?

famous to me is the prototype and the first run guns. how about we track the first one to be pneumag'd? i know Punisher(Lee Kinney) did one with a sliding trigger, what 10+ years ago. how about the first sleeper pneu-mag?

sure everyone's gun should be in there, but what makes them famous? its either innovation, annodizing(which everyone wants to duplicate or take part off) or something that has been made famous(the Hello Kitty X, Simon's 1st Xmag, the 720, etc...).

personally, i'm still waiting to see a post of all the different bodies(Dallara, Chord, Ripper) that shows all the different configurations. to hell with the Xs, let's cover the bases first.

Oh Pawlak or "Oh, The Pro You Know". Had several series of private label markers and marker accessories. He quite the game over a decade ago, and IIRC he was last seen by an AO'er working at some big-box store somewhere in the midwest. The Oh-Mags are cool but I don't see them being meant for this list unless someone has the original prototype or something.

Eh, I always kinda dug Cap'n Canuck's Purple Minimag...

Simon's incomplete Manik-E-Mag comes to mind.

Original Dalara bodied hAir trigger mag.

    Very few others.
