Wow just got notice that mine shipped.
All orders are shipped except for:
maverick13 (AGD parts have arrived) waiting for final order.
swe_crazy, waiting for final order.
Got mine. Looks very nice. No I don't have pics yet.
Got mine today. This rail is beautiful, nice work Luke and Panda. Thanks guys!
I received my Armada rail today as well. I did notice some tooling marks, and wanted to make sure they won't be visible once the rail has been anodized.
if you have scotch brite you can try to rub the marks away your self, or you can instruct whoever you send it to for anodizing to make certain that the marks get polished or blasted away
Polarstar Engineering and Machine
Yea, the deburing tool probably slipped or something. These are right out of the mill and have only been debured, no other finishing has been done.
Everything ElPanda said was spot on.
Thanks for the info.
Another heads up... The stock screws that screw the bike grip to the rail are too long. Now, I'm either going to have to hunt down washers, or find shorter screws. There's a decent size gap between the rail and grip now.
Yep, thats what you give up for ULE. Hit the hardware store and get two 10-32 screws, should cost you less than $1
Nice! I didn't know what size to get. Now I do!
I usually just put a short stack of washers in.
Should pull out with a pair of needle nose pliers. If not, use a vice and a couple of pieces of wood to press it out.
Or you can buy new from Tuna.
Needle nose pliers work, but can damage the bushing.
A flat tip punch, hammer and vise will do less damage.
You really need a flat surface to lay the rail on when using the punch and hammer method because you can bend the rail other wise.
I have found some of the older style bushings and ones that have been in the rail for years very stubborn and wont budge with pliers.
Thanks for the help guys.
Also, I wanted to say that you guys did a great job collaborating and manufacturing these Armada rails. They turned out awesome!!!
It may just be me, but it seems like my Mag RT's much easier now? Seems crazy easy!
got mine earlier this week. quick mock up of each rail on a XMT ULE Minimag Body w/Lukes Double Frame (may have to pick up a second).
Can't wait to see it finished! Thanks for the pictures.
Might try put it on a ego mag.
Sweet! I like the pump...
