    Mag back from Caustic Customs

Got her back yesterday and just put her back together...

It is hard to see but the orange and clear splash are polished while the purple and black are matte. Can't figure out a way of photographing it to show it properly. The splash effects look almost electric on top of the matte background.

Bad part is the board is not working anymore

It looks amazing. Stephen does amazing work. Did you try scuffing up the fresh anno where the board ground screw goes? That's how the board completes the circuit by using the frame of the gun itself to carry the negative side.

I do agree he does amazing work. He and I talked for about a week or so, then I sent it in. He had it done in about 1.5 weeks from start to finish. I just wish I could show it the way I see it in the sun light... The splash really pops from the matte background.

I used some fine grit sandpaper on the post where it mounts, it worked initially. Odd thing was the shot counter was now showing 0. I know I had a whole lot more than that considering I had the gun for 10 years. Now it won't turn on. I am going to get back on it again tonight.

And I also tested out the battery it seems fine... Worked on my stock emag... I just need to get a tank with some air to do some final testing on the guns.

    make sure its grounded.
the ano is covering the raw frame,
make sure the screw threading into the inside of the frame to hold the board down is contacting metal.
a swift hand with a pick will help expose metal.

ask more questions to get a precise answer.

oh and remember when emags get stripped and reannoed over and over you have to adjust stuff,
im kinda out of it to explain all that may be wrong.

is this your first reanno of a emag?

Any ballpark for his prices? I know Ano jobs end up being a "PM me" only kind of thing, but I'm curious how much I need to scrimp and save - a price RANGE would even be a good start.

My shockwave was quoted at 320 for 11 parts. Worth it.

Not to horrid considering the art and skill that goes in it. I've got 100 in just the boot color on my skates. And that is no fancy skill involved. Just them gouging me for a special color.

I know you were. But it is still surprising how many people actually think that is an outrageous price for that kind of work.

    Awesome sauce!
This guy does some of the most incredible anno I believe I've ever seen.
From everything I've read, he's dependable, does incredible work, appears to have very good turn around times, everything considered I think the prices are well worth every penny.

that's easy and he doesn't have to think. so it would be a quicker turnaround. basically, win/win.

but about anno. you get what you pay for. you want cheap, you can get it cheap. if you want quality, price and expedience, you can only pick 2, which 2 do you pick?
