    Modded Tac Body

This one was cnc machined, has that old school vib I like, I'm diggin it.
Sorry Sk8ermog, this one is a little nicer than yours.

It weighs 4.0 ounces, 3/4 ounce heaver than a ULE body.

A big thanks to Ailia for funding to project!

Not a problem, mind waiting a bit on shipping? Eyeing myself a wedge.

No freaking way, I was just thinking about having the same thing done to mine.

Does the gash around the feedneck go all the way through? Knowing you it does not but just wanted to ask.

I just had that sitting on my desk, final version wont have the CF tube.

That's a nice body! Well done Luke!
How does it sit on a full length Armada rail?

What about the tail section, would it be something that could be removed; the portion that's covering the topside of the x-valve...?

    Perfect fit, same length.

It would be easier to remove it than to machine it like it is, that section is pretty thin. It's actually one of my favorite parts of the body, it's clean in person.

Is this going to be one of the bodies you're going to market?

I wont make them from scratch but will offer it as a mod.

Gotta get some other stuff done but bodies are coming. I know you guys have heard it all before but I'm working on it. It's gonna be a trick making these on a mill but I think I can pull it off.

I like it, leaves room for c+c on it?

Nope, what you see is what you get. If you ever looked closely at a Tac body you'll see the walls are super thin at the base of the Tac mounts.

Sorry Sk8ermog, this one is a little nicer than yours.
WHAT! I want a refund! lol

Can I at least get credit for being the first Tac body milled this way by you? lol

Mine is at the anodizer right now and I'm hoping a coat of black will help make it look even nicer. This body looks very clean but I really like the square front on mine:

Yep I do like the square flush cut on yours. both I am sure will look awesome when done.

Refund! You designed yours and I designed Ailias, you got exactly what you ask for.

You should have let me machine the MM2K like I wanted too, now you'll never know.

What the MM2K milling? Probably not you think, it's just removing the machined areas that are there. Really that's all this body is, I just machined the Tac mounts off.

What did you want to do to my M2k body? Turns out it can't be anodized so I still have it raw and it can still be milled more...

My PTP Micromag bodies can't be anodized because its near impossible to remove the steel ring inside which would mess up the process. Its a problem all older micromag bodies have but I thought I could get around it with the anodizer I'm using but no such luck.

The body that Luke milled from a Tac-one body in the first post can easily be anodized.
