Remember, it is an auction, don't give up hope!

It isn't that KNM can't MEET the reserve; it is just that right now the thing hasn't been bid UP TO the reserve (which we currently don't know as ebay doesn't post the reserve price). Unfortunately, due to the auction format, we won't know what the reserve is (if ever) probably until almost the end of the auction when the bidding really starts and the interested bidders start trying to snipe each other.

I read that they offer additional discounts for in-store pickup. Anyone near the shop in IL to stop by and see what the price on the shelf is to get an idea of the reserve?

Odd upside: if it doesn't sell, maybe BBT can cut it up into a (new) SFL?

Seriously, good luck with the sale!

...but the barrel in the auction is not the xmag's stock barrel.

Thanks for trying to figure out the bid, KNM.

Checking between the two pictures, the fade looks like it transitions in the right spots, I think the valve is right for an early run X-Mag (lettering? Bunny?), barrel is wrong but could have been swapped, this X is coming from BBT so it is in the right neighborhood to have been an early run X. If we had a picture of the other side to have the SN on the valve, we could get closer to sure.

Just an update for anyone keeping an eye on this. I sent BBT a message via ebay and got some additional photos posted. In particular, the SN on the valve is 321, so it does match up (if I'm reading the spreadsheet right) with one from the first public batch.

Unfortunately, I was politely declined an answer to the reserve, when I mentioned a few folks on here were trying to figure out how to get the bidding up to a selling number. I guess we'll hopefully find out when it hits the end.

im at 950. so there is that.

i don't know why people even use reserve postings...it's a waste of the bidders time and the sellers money. just list the thing at the reserve price!

  22. #22
I was bored...so i bid 1000 on the gun. The reserves is higher than that. Im guessing its around 1200-1400

  23. #23
yeah I just tried toping you and hit 1000 and was like no thankyou.
so we should pay retail then is what he is saying?

You could buy another Xmag with all the stock parts, add the barrel of your choice, and get it annoed to your liking and still not pay over $1k.

I paid $1300 for mine NEW from AGD in 2003. Not paying that for a used one.

BBT:If it didn't sell over on ebay, feel free to post it up in the BST section. I bet you someone on AO would be willing to bring it to a good home.
