drill out classic frame for banjo bolt

Can I take a classic frame and drill it out to work with a retro? Don't seem like much meat left...

The CF frames work for sure, there's a circle imprint on the top that is the right diameter, which I don't remember at the moment. A CF frame with a set of grips that fit your hand can really improve the handling over a large, flat, two-finger frame. I never looked at an old metal frame for that. Use the rail hole diameter (+something" / -0")

I forgot to get back to your message. Yes, you can. Start with a 11/32 drill bit. It will need to be reamed out after that.
