anyone tried one of the do it yourself kits?
anyone tried one of the do it yourself kits?
I've thought about it but have seen it peeling off dipped markers first hand.I wouldn't mind dipping a loader though.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND! For the same reasons that you shouldn't try DIY anno. It takes quite a bit of practice to get it right. Hydro is not that expensive. Send it to Topgun they have a place that does incredible work for very reasonable pricing.
Check out this thread on MCB... I posted a bunch of their work. They did my warp RT and have another one of my guns they are working on now.

If you are interested I will give you contact info
i agree with going with topgun. they dipped my xmag and my axe, and they both look great. and i believe it was cheaper than getting ano'ed.
i had a whole gun dipped including barrel. it's about 300 cheaper than sending a whole gun to caustic.
those are skulls, in case you can't make out what those are
thanks go out to big evil for the pic, and putting the mag back together
thanks go out to bunny for designing the grips

Thanks, very sweet looking .I may just give hydro a try.
Damn... Carl just sent me a pic of my latest... it came out amazing. I'll post pics when I get it back and put all back together.
How does hydro feel compare to anno? is it any thicker?
it is definitely thicker. I had a hard time getting my spire into the feedneck after hydro.
I hope to make a pump worth hydro dipping soon. It would be a great solution to a bunch of mismatched chrome/nickel parts on a build.
Its definitely a more affordable alternative. My red marker up there was also a spare parts build.
Does Topgun put some sort of clear coat ontop of the dip?
