SHP - how much is too much?

I own a new RT ULE Custom with X valve

In the manual I got from AGD it says not to run pressure over 1000 as it may cause damage

I recently got a SHP valve from ninja and it runs 1100 stock. I ran it at full pressure and then removed the 3 shims and ran it at 950

The RT was much better at 1100 -

But what risk am I actually running? Anyone have long term use with a high pressure set up that can speak to this? Is it really a problem?

The only thing I would say is make sure you use the thick walled macro like, not the cheap stuff.

All you need is 800psi or there abouts. If you want more RT, either shorten the on/off pin yourself(take off small amounts, test frequently-you can always take more material off but you can't put more back on) or buy them from Tuna.

Over 1kpsi, you can experience permature oring failures, part failures and its just plain not needed.

I agree with Nobody here (heh). Trust Nobody.. Nobody cares.. Ok ok I'm done haha. Its much safer to shave the pin down than it is to jack the pressure higher. I've had macroline burst on me before, my ears were ringing for hours, and was lucky that was the worst of it. It was like a friggin bomb went off in my hands.

OR you can add shims in the on/off , effectively shortening the pin length

Like I’ve told you before, that’s a clever little trick! I still need to give that a try.

My experience, you will get a more consistent functioning of your marker with a standard output Ninja reg.

If you ask Tuna or Bigevil they will tell you ditch the SHP.

I would also recommend ditching the SHP.

I chased trigger bounce for a long time, and while it's admittedly fun at first, it's also kind of dumb. An impressive party trick, and very fun in the backyard or chrono area in front of an audience, but in terms of sportsmanship it gets old really quickly on the field.

And that in itself is a good reason not to do it.

I don't use mine in rec play
It's fun and very useful in scenario/big game play

Every see a tank turn tail because you're covering the diver and gunners in spare

What about holding a key location by yourself because you have the fire power of 4-5 people

Heck it's a fantastic moral booster as well

Bigevil is a first hand witness

How much paint can you actually shoot spraying ?

I typically shoot 1k with my main mag, but if I get on it a lot I run out of air on a 68/4500 with a good half hopper left.

No, you spend 1 game, shoot as much paint as possible off the tank and see how much paint you can actually shoot. Then carry only that much with you. If the tank last for 900 shots, why carry more paint than you can shoot?

Its never bad to have extra paint.

You might get a better tank fill then last time, or a team mate might need one more half hopper full to get to games end.

You could shorten the pin or buy a shorter pin from agd. Then you could lower the pressure required. The on off pin is what I mean by the way
