Eclipse splash rail sear pin tight

Picked a smart parts mag w/ eclipse splash kit. The sear pin is so tight in the rail that I had to use a hammer to knock it out of the rail to remove the sear. Is this a known issue? Solutions?

    Thanks

I think they changed the sear pins at some point the older ones are squared off at each end where the newer ones are rounded. you should be able to chuck it up in a drill and round the edge with sandpaper or a dremel.

It’s not as much side to side fit it’s the slot in the rail is too snug. Pulled out my trusty harbor freight cheapo inaccurate calipers and the rail slot is 0.181”. The rail slot on a classic minimag rail is 0.188”. The pin is 0.186”. Which is same for minimag pin.

Far easier to mod the pin than take material off the rail. Sear pins, if you mess up are easier to get, too.
