    Minimag and Lc90 Troubleshooting Help

I've put together my minimag using the Lc90 frame. When I air it up, it doesn't fire when I pull the trigger. The trigger doesn't seem to travel far. Do I need to adjust the sear pin? It just seems like the sear assembly and trigger do not move as freely or as far when I don't have the body screwed on. When I put the body on, it all seems to tighten up. I hope this makes any sense. haha.

    Thanks,

I dont recall which setup you have, are you trying to run a Ultra Blade trigger (Pneu-Mag ONLY) on a mechanical setup?

Did you install the thumb screw bushing?

With the marker aired up you should a gap about the thickness of a credit card between the back of the trigger and the end of the trigger rod. Sounds like the current gap is too large.

The pin is pressing against the trigger when aired up.

You must have the gap for the on/off to operate correctly, about the thickness of a credit card around 1/32"

Gotcha. That leads me to my next question. What's the best way of adjusting the pin? What tool would be best without marking/scratching it up? I tried to turn it to shorten it but it wouldn't turn.

    I've always used pliers.

Heat the threads where the rod meets the clevis a bit before adjusting with some small vice grips. You’re shooting for somewhere around 1.980” from the back of the sear leg to the tip of the rod.
A butane torch and some digital calipers would be helpful when doing this.

I must have a Gorilla grip because I've never heated up the threads to soften the Loctite.

Some seem to be more stubborn than others I’ve found.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure the heat helps and probably doesn't leave teeth marks on the trigger rod from the pliers or vice grips.
