AO,

In order to have a really big online party and avoid channel splits in the chat room we have made the investment in setting up our own Chat Server. We will now have our own server name to go to at irc.automags.org. This will be where we will host the party Sat night. We will be redirecting the java script here at the AO site to point into that room. You IRC guys need to add this server to your server list. We will be testing this thurs and friday nights so everyone will have it working right by sat. Look here for specific instructions on how to link to this server through IRC.

Additonally make sure your email is working Sat night. Many prizes will be given away in email contests.

If we get an e-mail regarding one of these contests and we are not at a computer, does that render us inelligible? (ie, we must respond to said e-mail in a certain amount of time to win?)

Yup, you guessed it.. I'm trying to find a way for me to win stuff without being here..

we can either use the chat provided by the website and that will direct us to the new chat, or we can acess it through mirc. How do we access it through mirc?

Here's the setup of how to do it for you not-so-techies out there.

Download the latest mIRC here: Download mIRC

Install it and open it. You need to set up your user name and stuff, refer to this thread about how to enter that: Setting up mIRC. Here's a walkthrough.

First screen, click on this button on the top:

Fill in the boxes with this:

Press OK when your done, and you should be ready to go!
