    Automag #00709

A guy at my local proshop has AM#00709. I may be trading him my minimag for this relic and about $150. The body/barrel design is much different from newer mags, there is actually a breach in this mag...the barrel still has the twist lock pin, but the barrel does not have a hole for the ball to drop into, the barrel does not go back that far. I'll see if I can't get pics of it once I get it. The gun still functions great, and it has one of the older metal gripframes.

    Nice find!

Sounds like an original level 5, VERY rare. We estimate there are less than 100 unknown L5's still in the world in original condion.

getting the official word from AGD has me stoked! It seemed to be in perfect functional condition.

I'll be sure to post pics!

    several questions though,

first off: are there any older mags on AO?

second: are all the o-rings the same sizes as can be found in automag parts kits?

third: will it accept a PT spacer?

fourth: how badarse will it look with a warpfeed?

Also, to make sure I don't rip the guy off or pay too much, about how much would you say it's worth Tom? Aside from old factor, as far as the seller is concerned he considers it just any other mag and wants something newer (my minimag! )

forgot, there didn't seem to be any sort of ball detent in the gun, are you just supposed to size your barrel? (wonder if i can find a freak for it )

Also, for coolness factor, it had the old AGD foamie style bolt with the recessed foamie.

Good to know that somone of Tom's status seeks "relief" from a sport he helped create. A sport now ruled by a single patent.

    OK, so...

I have 01039, what's that? (Other than not quite as cool as a 00709)

ive got CF00806, and it came originally as a level 6. You must have got one of the last level 5's produced. Also, the owner never sent it in to AGD for service, cause they would have upgraded it long ago!! nice find

Does it matter that it's an EM01039 as opposed to CF?

I couldn't get the mag, he was somehow persuaded by a 3rd party to buy an impulse, so he's selling the mag . Not sure how much, i think it was around $200, comes with a barrel. I couldn't afford the mag, the only way i could have gotten it was in trade for my mini. If any of you would like the mag, e-mail me @ blinded_insight@angelfire.com and i will get you in contact with him. He also has a Tippmann SMG-60 with MANY clips he may be selling. Sorry i couldn't procure this relic, but maybe one of you can.
