This is not meant to be disrespectful of any military person,( I'm ex military myself). Remember 1812, and Vietnam.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Canada still a British provence during the War of 1812? If so, there goes one point

As for Vietnam, I wasn't even aware Canada had any serious involvement. Other than us, French, Chinese, etc...

The point wasn,t that we won, it was that you lost. Besides you are correct that we aren't militant like you. We are respected peace keepers.

I will also agree that some would like us to to be apart of the U.S., but the majority still recognise our past and present ties to the crown.

We are neighbours with very close ties, but we both have different cultures, and attitudes towards life.

War of 1812 we were a young nation & got over-ambitous, which is perfectly natural.

Vietnam. Heh. Got into a "Liberal Swing" not very different from Britain & Canada.

Kinda hard to win a war if you don't put the full effort into it, no?

    Met some AO'ers

I'm not feeling any spirit! Where's the wuv?

Oh guess what? Gibby and I went to play paintball yesterday and I met Bad_Knees, DirtyBunny and Samias. They are all a bunch of very kewl guys!!! We took some pictures but since I'm not up with the Jones' and don't have a kewl digital camera like Muzikman I can't post them until they are developed.

Thanks for the tank cover DirtyBunny!!!

And BTW Bad_Knees, Capt. Kirk did not cheat during the Kobyashi Maru.......He was creative!!!!

    Talking As Spock would say...

Logically he cheated...but was awarded a medal for being creative...therefore if I was able to wipe off a hit without ever removing my hands from my gun...would that make me a cheater or being creative?

    You will lose this one!!!

If he was really considered a cheater, he would've been thrown out of the academy. The test was a no winner.....but he won. He saved everyone and left no one behind. Soooooo he recieved the award for being creative in a no win scenerio. He did not cheat. BTW, your example doesn't fit here........its apples and oranges. Come on Bad_Knees, you can do better than that....

    Smile Haha...

Well I guess when you got it! No need to finish that one. Well Gibby I don't need to back off...it was finished with my last post. If she would disagree well then that would have left her open game to others.....so I have nothing else to say...unless she wants to open up the Tribble debate?

Ha and Ha!!! I happen to have a Tribble and enjoy playing with him often. Why oh why would you want to burn him? BTW, Mr. Shatner doesn't wear a toupe

Better for her to play with my "Tribble" than yours. Besides, the way she plays with my *ahem*, she can call it anything she wants!
