They changed the style of the newer ss backs and I have heard that they are weaker. Mine is the old styel and I haven't had any problems yet.

I had heard a while back that since the mag back actually goes into the breech area you need to get the next size up from what you are used to getting to get the same size..i.e. you like a 14" mag barrel you need a 16" freak...does anyone know if this is true or not..I'm looking at getting a freak from Donggie and i wanted to make sure to order the right one...

It's the opposite. A 10" tip actually translates into a 11" barrel and so and so forth...

Well...does anyone have a normal mag barrel to compare to their freak so that we can find out the truth? I'm not going to spend upwards of 200 bucks and not be sure...

A picture of mine in action with a Freak. It's a 16inchs barrel here with the SS back.
Sometimes it looks like I'm playing with a 20 inchs barrel

Thats right! its the opposite. Get one size smaller. But the Mag freak is 1.5 inches longer than you would think. So a 10 inch tip is like 11.5 but thats about right what Covads says.

In Your Opinion Do you Think The Freak is As Accurate As the All American Or Less? Is It As Quite As The All American?

10 in freak and SS back. I used to use a polished aluminum but the SS was a little less boring.

ok , i was not under standing what was being said earlier but what i said is correct, my 14 inch freak actually sticks out 12 inches from the gun , but a freak is 1.5 inchs longer than other mag barrels . So if you like a 12 inch on a spyder you need a 14 inch on a mag but if you have an AA barrel now and its 14 you need a freak that is 1.5 inches shorter for it to be the same length from the gun. this should help you decide what length freak you want.
