if i remeber how sights work is that you slide them on the dovetail and then use the screws to lock it onto the dovetail

edit: wait a minute. i just realized. do you actually have an izon or are you just saying all sights have the dovetail mount? i need 100% confirmation please

No I dont, but this is direct from Dye's website

"Easily attaches to any marker that has a standard dovetail sight mount."

I believe 7/8 is standard, but whatever it is you'll 99.999999% have the standard. I have never, EVER seen a non standard dovetail mount.

7/8" is a standard WEAVER rail...

the Izon fits the smaller dovetail rail- not the Weaver. I do have one, and it really just clamps onto the rail with set screws, it doesn't have a dovetail. I want to say the rail is 3/8" wide...
    sigs are overrated.

Jam, what kind of rail do you have it mounted on? I'd like one, but I'm not sure if I'll need an E-Mag sight rail, or if it will just clamp to my RT Pro rail...

Also, how far above the rail does it sit? I need to know if it will fit under the rev on my high rise body.

just to save the trouble for anybody who wanted a straight forward direct answer to my question. the izon will mount with no other accessories or mods on an emag sight rail.

Yeah....it's the RTP rail I'm wondering about. It doesn't actually have a dovetail, it's just a stamped, bent metal plate.

There is a pic of an Izon on my Emag in this thread:

    hope that helps.

Hmmm...ok, from that picture it looks small enough to fit under the hopper....but I don't think it'll mount on the RTP rail...

If the RTPro rail is the same width as the Emag rail at the dovetail portion it should. The Izon mount is not a dovetail, its just squared off with a pair of set screws to hold it on.

Yes, but what I'm worried about is the aesthetic slots punched into the upper sides of the RT Pro rail. There are 3 slots, approximately 19x5 mm each. They are spaced about 5-6 mm apart. From what I can see, that isn't enough to mount the Izon to (unless the set screws happen to be 25-30 mm apart or extend down and 'hug' the rail at least 8mm down).

EDIT: The rail is about 13mm wide

Couldn't find a metric ruler, but my cheap tape measure gives me these approximate spacings.

Ok...thanks Blennidae. Looks like it won't fit...I'll have to pick up an E-Mag rail.
