Thumbs up HALO-B, in the house

Got my HALO-B in the mail Friday. I had my "A" upgraded, and got new smoke shell. (actually, they just ship an entirely new unit).

The B's have quite a different impeller design, and no springy-things to get PB's caught on. It's also a LOT quieter.

I just rattled off 2 bags (1000) PB's, and it seems to work just fine. BTW, I never had a problem with the "A", I just felt compelled to do the upgrade.

I have also removed .700" form the powerfeed tube of my H/L mainbody, in an attempt to lower the hopper as much as possible (need lo-rise, need lo-rise) Damn, this thing sticks up high...

The HALO is big, but that scan makes it look rediculously huge!

Oh, and Odyssey Paintball Products (the HALO dudes) recieved my HALO on the 10th, and I got the upgraded unit back the 14th. Excellent turn-around time. Kudo's to the Odyssey crew

yeah that does look honking huge and out of shape

i just got mine back yesterday in smoke too!!! im still sanding the feed neck got a blister on my thumb now and took out the dremel so now it only goes on half way so far.

mine is also very quiet however it seems to kinda skip in movement(kinda goes like this rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr*click*rrrrrrrrrrrrrrr and so on) every so often and doesnt seem to be moving at top speed

also they dont just give you an entirely new unit i figured that out because mine had some bluish white paint from neao2 in it and i can still see little bits of blue in the corners and stuff where the spinning thing sits on.

    Timeframe to upgrade...

I sent my "A" out on Mar 4th, via UPS Ground.

    Odyssey received it Mar 10th,

    I received the new "B" Mar 14th.

If you want it fast, and don't want to spend a lot on shipping, I suggest you use USPS Priority Mail (Usually 2-day delivery) costs about $6 for a HALO...

I like the smoke-colored shells, subtle, yet commanding
I was really liking the RED, but that giant glowing red orb makes you stick out like a sore thumb when playing rec-ball (what I usually play)

It may be big, but it kicks arse. It's also nice to know you'll never be able to outshoot it in semi mode.
I love mine, sits great on my Angel with the CP lowrise I added.

A quick question to those who've recently had a HALO upgrade...

My HALO has no anti-jam spring or "beads", is something missing, or was/is there another change to the HALO's?

I wouldnt email them, call them tommorow.. while your at it, will you ask them if its possible to trade in a halo A with no AA battery pack, a broken lid, a broken battery door, and a missing HALO sticker in for a Halo TSA? When they come out that is..
Or I could do it, but I will be out of town

    beam,

Yes, $50 for the "B" upgrade & new shells, with return shipping.

    ...or just get a Warp,
Had two of 'em. they're not for me, thank you.
