    Kohn Sports paintball field 3/18/06 grand opening

    Nice crowd showed up.
    They really could have used two more weeks to get ready before opening
    but it was fun.
    They had some woods they called the woodsball field, needs a lot of work on it though.
    One 5 man airball and one 7 man xball field.
    Lots of refs and they didnt do too bad a job either.
    Its really going to be nice when its done.
    They probably could host a national tourney if they had the parking.
    They would be stretching it to park 500 cars and like 5000 show up
    to a big tourney.
    They are supposed to have 8 airball fields when done.
    And a hyperball field and a "fort" field like Orbital has.
    All in all I reccomend the field to anyone in west central Florida.
    If you go anytime soon keep in mind its a work in progress,
    but I still would say its the best around.
    Like 35 minutes from just about anywhere in Hillsborough county.
    10 minutes east of Ruskin.

    Anyone planning on playing in the Tampa/St.Pete area tomorrow (Sunday)? I was thinking of going out and wondered if there was anyone to meet while I was out.

    well i am not really in tampa but close enough i am in riverview......

    i went to kohns field: it was pretty nice, fields where nice but a little dry never got a chance to go out to the woods field...Great people there...helpfull and lots of refs....did job well there was a min of 4 or 5 on each field.....would have been alot more fun if my markers where not down....
    bring cash not set up to take plastic yet.... ...In all it will be Very nice when its all done!!!

    Here Ye! Here Ye!

    I am trying to plan out a big 'ol AO get together disquised as a birthday excuse to play day.

    Last weekend of April (29-30) is the target date. I am not sure which day just yet.

    Somewhere between Orbitial and Lakeland is the location.

    Can anyone here suggest a decent place to play with both woods and airball fields with reasonable field fee's? PReferably somewhere that doesn't mind you bringing your own paint and/or air?

    I have about 4-6 folks in my local friendly cirlce planning to get together and wanted to invite everyone from AO to go as well. It'll be for my birthday and a chance to play with the Devilmag.

    And in case you were wondering... Gladiator is closing down soon. I heard the owner didn't care about the place and hasn't put any money towards it in awhile so he is just closing up the shop.

    That really pisses me off, cause the only other close field is Florida Paintball and I don't really enjoy playing there.
