filter keys in ms word xp

if you hold shift for a few sec a little window pops up called filter keys. it slows the repeat rate of keystrokes so any letter you type will be capitalized. is there any way to turn this off cause whenever i think about how to start a sentance i usually hold the shift key down, and no matter what i click in the filterkeys box (ok cancel settings or the X) it still turns it on.

Click settings then settings on each one and uncheck use shortcut. Quick and easy way to do it.
