well, in interested in the stealth idea, the crystal idea is cool as well, but i think a matte black, stealth styled body, would totally Smite the competition.

but remember to many faces, and in chrome, when photographed will look like a proverbial chrome turd, thats what i thought of the pbx bod when i first saw it

Cool idea, but my first impression was the same as the others, too many cuts. I think longer cuts would be nicer.

Nice concept, but it does look like a wadded up piece of tin foil. But the chord body is oh-so-nice, so I'm sure the final version of this will look equally sweet.

Go take a look at a stealth, they have several large flat surfaces, and follow an aerodynamic path. Work with that concept. I also like the idea of a body based upon the "streamline" style of the 50's.

Use the Commanche helicopter as a template, maybe that would make it more stealth.

Where are the holes drilled and tapped for the detents going to locate?
Cool looking design, but a bit too faceted. I would get one of those if the facets were scaled back a bit.

Damnit, I was wy to slow...I was gonna say nearly the same thing. WAY To many cuts, looks more like a jewel.

OK just moved some vector points around and tried to make it flow.. i think it looks better..
    but who am I?

I think ill start over on a true "stealth" design from a like a Comanche or a F117a if I get the chance.
problem with those large flat surfaces wrapped around a round object.. you end up with large thick sections of excess materal which adds weight..
im still trying to keep it as light as possible.. the Chord V2 is around 4oz.

If you feel like making one with lotsa cuts, make one with snake scales all over it. That would be wicked.

  19. dude, why don't you just make something very similar to the xmag body? do you know how fast those would sell? it's not even funny, you would make a killing.

nicad, I think you should do a swoosh style body, like the ones you find on angels.

Better than the first, but still to many cuts on the sides. Maybe if you just smothed out the sides of the body a little like the top halve, you could still shave the weight. But with a smoother design.

yea, still too many faces. lookin good tho

I love the chord, I like this. But still too many faces. It looks better than the pbx tho. (if that ever even got made)

Hey Nicad, I cant wait till my chord gets here :-D

Keep on working, longer faces will look better

good looking body but for some reason i always imagine stealthy things have being very flowing and fluid. i could imagine the chord v2 as being more stealthy than that. but overall great looking

Good idea, but im inclined to agree with some of the folks here, there are just too many facets. Im thinkin going the Chipley Custom Machine cocker type bodies. The upper half of the CCM body is nice and simple, it looks tech but there is a definite flow with the facets. In anycase your heading in the right direction...
