I've never seen or participated in it. As far as I know NPPL only has rules for 7, 5, and 3. I could see people playing it as a pick-up game but it would be a cluster on any standard sized field. Again, just my opinion.
That makes sense. I guess I have no problem with saying "do you want to play on the speedball field?" vs "do you want to play speedball?". I do my best to introduce new people to the sport whenever I can and I find that playing in the woods is less intimidating for new players. Only a small number ever catch the bug and end up playing on speedball fields regularly. More often than not they get horror showed and go back to the woods for good.
