I have a valve here that I wanted to use for a special project and I can't think of anything that would be more special then this. I will cover shipping both ways if that helps you.

Yeah don't get me going, I'll drop that other valve in the mail in the next couple of days here.

normally i would read the thread and find the answer to this question, but this is a long thread so...

is it too late to order one of those? are you going to be making any more in the future?

            Hey Coolhand,

            Question 1)
Let's say you were making 15 of these markers, and let's say you went to make the eye covers, and let's say you accidentally made 16 sets.

How much would you sell a set of extra eye covers for?

            Question 2)
Same scenario, but this time, in the midst of making these you accidentally make a one-off eye cover.

How much would you sell a set of one-off eye covers for?

Just speaking hypothetically of course with the simple statement "I CALL DIBS!'

            Thanks,

            Z

Yes indeedy, Olinar does in fact = on the ball.

I prefer the term "Johnny on the spot", but to each his own.

If I have a spare set of the stock or DW body eye covers, I'd let them go for say $45 shipped.

If I have to make new code and cut a custom set of covers, figure about $300, 'cause I'll have a week in the code and a whole day in setting up the machine and cutting that one set of covers.

                      Will do.

Let's hope the Fly Fickle Finger of Fate misses you on this go-round.

I'll insure it for the return trip, I'm never that lucky.

How much of a head's up can you give before you start each gun? I'm wondering when ano colors and misc stuff has to be decided on.

Before I start on each man's marker I will post here to confirm what we're doing, and then I will post again before it goes out to ano to confirm what we're doing there.

After a wait this long, I want to be sure everyone gets exactly what they are after.

I got the coolant pump installed on the CNC machine on Sat, and it works a little too good. Gotta install a ball valve or some other metering device to slow it down a little. 40 psi doesn't sound like a lot of coolant, right up until you point the 1/2" ID nozzle square down onto the subplate, THEN you realize that's enough oomph to make a very large shower inside your shop building. At any rate, it's always easier to stop it down than add more pressure, so I aimed high.

I was sick on Sunday and partially under the weather today too. Hopefully I'll be feeling better some nights this week to do a little organizing and whatnot in the shop, as it is getting very close to being done. One hard day would do it I think, or maybe three or four nights.

I will also be doing the CNC code for the eye covers this week in the evenings, hopefully I will be able to cut a few of them next weekend, barring any familial obligations from Easter and all that.

That is all folks, carry on.

                              EDIT:

                              Pics and commentary are here:

Zach, your satin black TunaValve showed up today.

I will dig out your other one and get it turned around as soon as I can.

I would not expect it to ship before next Monday though.

It arrived intact with all the bits in the right place.

I'd suggest you use a hard side box from now on to ship valves though, I've had stuff bent in those envelopes before, just an FYI. It could just be something that happens to people with unusually poor luck (IE, me), but why chance it?
