PTP Micro E-Mag

i bought this Mag on ebay and it was in horrible shape. i replaced the board, the noid, safety assembly, selector switch, grips and the trigger. i then sent it to Gruntbull for anodizing.
Sold with everything seen EXCEPT THE BLUE VALVE. it would come with the original valve (RetroValve MicroMag serial GFX10424 matching). i also have the cosmetic piece that goes between the barrel and the battery (annoed to match but not pictured). the board is XMOD V1.8.

before making this posting i tested the gun out as it has not been fired in a while. it worked fine. the LVL10 could use some tuning. the battery while it will power up the board is no longer good enough to trigger the noid. i used my other battery and it worked fine.
(YOU WILL NEED TO REPLACE THE BATTERY)

This Mag finished 2nd in a photo finish for MOTM
http://www.automags.org/forums/showthread.php?t=214782

looking for a good micro emag but to get started with but lookin for a complete package.
if i can replace the battery without loosing the ano than i might be interested.

thanks

of course you want to retain the ano. the battery is easy to remove from the fore grip with just two allen screws.

you should have no problem swapping in a new battery and keeping the ano the same

it comes with everything pictured (including barrel) except the blue valve

instead you get the original MicroMag valve (serial GFX10424 matching) seen in the last photo

also included is the charger and that piece specific to the micro mag that goes just over the battery. it is annoed to match as well

Did the buyer back out at $430? I was watching it to see what would happen. I almost bid, but I felt bad stealing from you. lol

well at $430 it would be stolen, but that $430 was my friend acting as an artificial reserve. ebay charges $5 to add a reserve to your auction. so i just had a friend put a bid in to set an artificial reserve.

long story short... it is still for sell. at this point $650 is less money than i have in it.

But since you didn't have a reserve, doesn't ebay consider that the sale was made, and charge you a final value fee on $430 (Which is probably in the neighborhood of $20-30)?

sorry man. it was that or pay $5 for a reserve price. as is i paid ebay $2 for their services and didn't sell my marker

but seriously guys. if you had this marker wouldn't you want/expect to get alot more than $400

i paid $380 for it when it was in terrible shape. then i did all the stuff that you see listed at the top of the thread.

someday it will find a new home

i could be wrong but i only pay them for the features i use of theirs in my auction. extra pictures or reserve price as an example.

now paypal takes a cut if you choose to use their service for transfering funds. and yeah i think that is a % of the actual transfer.

Final Value fee
$25.01- $1,000.00
8.75% of the initial $25.00 ($2.19), plus 3.50% of the remaining closing value balance($25.01 - $1,000.00)

=14.175+2.19

With a reserve there would have been no final value fees and you wouldn't have made voodoo sad, which is more important than $5 anyway.

what is that? paypal fees? does paypal cover my ebay fees if i choose to use paypals services? if the item does not sell and i have no need for paypal i doubt they pay for anything. i am just out $5

if i set a reserve in ebay and it does not sell i still owe ebay $5, correct?

well no i don't owe ebay $5.

i feel for voodoo, sincerely. as the looser of many ebay auctions i do. he we simply not able to pay what i wanted for it.

i didn't image having such an in depth discussion about the ins and outs of ebay on a AO forum would have been possible. but here we are

Ebay is going to bill you, whether the buyer pays or not. If you file an unpaid dispute with the buyer, then Ebay will negate the fees

but then in return, dispute of unpaid bill will either result in ban, some features disabled, a case with paypal ( if that was the preset form of payment) along with negative feedback.

of course they are billing me. they are billing me $2 the services rendered. it would have been $7 if i had a reserve price.

you can call me cheap because i am. i just don't see the point in paying $5 for a reserve.

They will bill you for a percentage of the sale price as well. They don't care if you take payment through Paypal or not. Ebay always charges you a percentage of the sale price, regardless of how you take payment. That's how they make money (on top of all the one time fees for individual services.)

You will end up owing Ebay more than $5 for your sale which was successfully sold at $430.

Nice mag btw, hope it sells
