I noticed that the "cheers" smiley isn't on the side next to the post window, but it still works when the code is punched in. Are there other smilies that are hidden similarly?

You can get to it by the smiley pop up window when you click on the smiley icon in the message interface and then click on the more button in the window.

Tom - did you also get the VB5 client as part of the upgrade? Reason I ask is, if Bunny and I are working on a template, we may want to look ahead to the next version if you bought it.
