That's correct, but I was thinking of doing ego frame with the battery pack. I am doing one with this same set up.

Ego frames do not need that much millling/mod. Angels is another good one and also not much mod needed from what I understand, that's one I want to do next.

I think I may be badly hampering everyone's ability to help me by using phrases indicating that cost matters

Of course it does, but I don't expect anything or anyone's time to be free, and if spending 160 dollars on an airwalk (no clue if that's possible) turns out to be cheapest, (edit: or... shudder maybe even 200) then so be it.

I just wanted to highlight that cost was a factor and that I certainly would have to consider costs of farming out any milling work.

My main goal was to get some suggestions for good likely frame candidates to investigate and to get a sense of relative prices vs availability vs. technical machining requirements.

This said, I liked what I saw about the custom battery pack pneumatic suggestion. Which I hadn't seriously thought about. It was less "pretty" But the price looked good. Unfortunately I'd have to ship off the rail which would mean downtime... But maybe that's how it has to go.

Edit: all this said I'm going to try and find a vert frame to play around with. The last time I tried one it didn't feel right but... Being able to use an m90 would make life simpler

Just to conclude this thread, I've now got an airwalk inbound, so while I'm sure to have many more questions for the community as I muddle my way through this, at least I'm off to a solid start, and I've got a separate frame I can tinker with while I use my existing marker
