AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
AO SoCal. . . . .any interest in an AO day in the southland?
It's been a long time since I've been around these parts. AO is looking much different these days. Good to see some only names and that we have Avatars back after so many years. I think it's time for me to dust off my old gear and hit the field with some AO friends. Just need to ask the old lady and I should be good. What are we looking at for entry and is it BYOP? I'm living in Bakersfield these days so it will be a little bit of a drive, but after not playing for over 2 years I'm sure it's going to be well worth it. Need to start stretching now...
Well, I love the idea, but don't have the ability (car and what-not) to just do whatever. Also, I don't know day by day how long I will be working for. It comes down to the needs of the project (I work in 3D visual effects/graphics), so I may have a last-second need to work on a Saturday. LzrSktr has been my personal driver to the last several AO events I have gone to. I never responded to his last PM (Sorry), but will see what's going on.

The Tax-Man Cometh And That Right-Soon...
I will have a nice sales-thread available soon, but I started a new job YESTERDAY :) So if I'm busy enough enough earning cash through work I doubt I'll put forth the effort to start a new one...

Yeah, been a while since I've noticed you on-line :)
Find local businesses, view maps and get driving directions in Google Maps.
Now I have never been to Jungle before so I don't know if this photo is current, but I was thinking it would be nice for us all to park in the same area like we have in the past. My suggestion is where I wrote AO GROUP on the map. Looks like it's just past a garbage area and the main parking lot. This seems like a good spot cause it's close to the main buildings, but far enough from the main parking lot so we have some privacy.
We should figure out if we are doing private group or walk on. There doesn't seem to be a price difference between the two if we have less then 15 players. The only advantage would be that we have a ref. I can't seem to find anything on the site about BYOP or field paint only. Anyone know? I'm coming alone and being dropped off by my wife so count me in on the roll call list.
knownothingmags: You shouldn't have a hard time finding us. Were a bunch of ugly old school paintballers that happen to love the best paintball guns of all time. Sadly, though, I'm mag-less right now

That photo and layout is pretty accurate. And JI is definetely BYOP. Just an FYI but there is also a group over on MCB that's also going on this day as well. Great group of guys. At this point though it might just be easier to keep it walk on and be done with it but I'll leave that up to John. IF we want to do a private game it might be worthwhile to get the MCB faction to join our group as well...
Speaking as an ex-private group ref I can say that being in a private group tends to be a much better option. We'd most likely be able to talk the ref into letting play with special rules like re-birth and hopper ball. There just seems to be a lot more options with a private group then not having one and we can always take off and play with walk ons if we want.
Who is taking point on this event here on AO? I'm willing to help any way I can.
so me + 2 are planning on taking the drive, what kind of paint do they sell there? we will most likely be there for the weekend, anything around the area?
