As for the potential terrorist, I strongly feel that Sam, myself and even you are vastly different then them. We value human life. Any group that preaches suicide as a way to heaven is evil. I am not condeming Islam as there are many peaceful practitioners of it. People of all religions have commited evil acts in the name of God, but they were all evil people. I for one value my life far to much to intentionaly kill myself to take out an enemy. I am not a coward and would fight for my country if called, however dieing in battle and blowing myself up are two vastly different things, so yes apotential terrorist with no value for life (theirs or others) is vastly different from us! *

What if you see no other way out of your current position? What if you live in destitute away form your comfort life in the US? What if you live in a concentration camp held under strike control. Every time you go to work you are stripped searched. You are treated none humane. What if you see people all around you with everything and you have nothing. Then someone comes up to you and tells you all of this is because of the US. Rid them, and your family will be happy. What will you do if you had no hope left. No other choices. You see yourself dieing a broke old man wishing you could change your country for your family.

She was a speaker on the show "Is their a liberal bias in the media" on Donahue.

Let me ask your something. (these is just my line of thought)

Once one station shows it, do you think in the mood of the country at that time, everyone looking for who did this, that a news station could not show it? And just because two news stations shows it doesn't make it truth. Facts makes it true.

It has to be true because the conspiracy involved in making this falacy up would be impossible to pull together. If it were one reel of news footage then yes. This wasn't! This was live reports done by a number of DIFFERENT, INDEPENDENT News outlets. Everyone from AP to Reuters, CNN to MSNBC carried their own footage of it. You really have watched "Wag the Dog" and "Conspiracy Theory" too many times!

Finally Al-Jezera carried it. They are all muslim all the time. What would be there motivation to slander their target audience to the world? This is also before Al-Jezera became big news. Up until this point they were a localized Pro-Arab network.

Your logic on this argument does not stand up to reality. Please step back and think about the vastness this conspiracy would have to entail to be true? It is not possible. Besides, now that Bush is everyone's favorite target, don't you think that this "fraud" would have been exposed by now?

We had a situation over here I dont know if any of you guys saw it over there The Tampa boatpeople issue???? we had "socalled refugees" commin over on a leaking heap of S#$t.......they got picked up by a container ship. All the captain had to do by international law was take them to the nearest port. that just so happend to be their port of depature. They threatend to take over the Tamper if they wernt taken to Christmas island ( a blatant act of piracy) the Aussie Government stood their ground stating that they had no call to come to this country & kept them out. when they heard of sept 11th they cheared. All but 3 were found to have NO refugee status.

If you are a refugee you normally have no money to Buy a spot on one of those boats. It costs big dollars to come to Australia on a refugee boat. None had passports when they were interviewed by customs, how do you get from Iraq of Afganistan to Indo if you have no passport? So what were they hiding? I have no problem with ppl comin into Australia fom overseas, I do have a problem with ppl jumping queues with no ablility of finding out who they are. Lets face facts, there are two types of ppl in Afganistan..those with no money & those with money. The ones witout are goat hearders & the ones with are high up in the Taliban... Probably future sleeper probably you just never know & I for one wont take the risk Cos one day a sleeper unit could blow up a school that has my kids in it!

It was never carried live. If it would have been it would have been dark when it was shown. And the video footage was during the day.

I have read some of your posts & some of your Ideals....Quite honestly mate I see just why shartley & 1stdeadeye argue with you.......

You seriously need to drop out of College & spend some time away from your left wing communistic College proffesors & see just what happens in the World. You need to see just how people get treated it the rest of the world. You are blined by the America that you live in, you seen to know just what is going on overseas from just what you read in a book or hear from a teacher. Have you seen firsthand anything about what you are claiming???? I have seen firsthand a guy getting a Dunlop (Tyre full of petrol)necklace for talking to his neighbours Muslim wife! I have seen a carbomb go off to try and kill the president of sri lanka. Why I asked does this stuff go on in the world??? It is not just what America does to these countries that invokes them (sure that wouldnt help) but it is Naturally in their blood. They live by the sword! that is their way of doing it. I dont think that you would get anywhere near the responce from the public if Sept 11th had been a millitary aircraft crashing into one of your aircraft carriers. the fact is they targeted a civilian target to deliberatly get the worlds focus on their plight. well they got it & they also got a few bombs as well. Their ideas are so far removed from our own it unbelievable. Who, other than a complete madman would even come up with the idea of sept 11th???

But yes, people on both sides would love a peace. But the problem are this radical groups and their attacks and the IDF attacks on the Palestinians. If you can stop that for a time of 10 years, then maybe we might have something in that area close to a peace.

Well first some of your comments about Palestinians not celebrating in the streets. It cannot be doubted that some of them were. The truth is, however, that this was probably a small portion of the population. Just like there can be a peace demonstration in Portland and the general public (including myself) would have no clue that it even happened in our city. It is the shocking stuff, however, that sells newspapers/draws people to the screens.

At peace rallies for example you can have one thousand protestors with organized church group waving a flags while one person with more extreme views is burning a flag while screaming FREE Mbubal Jabud (made up name). Guess which part makes it on the news.

I truly believe that the average Israeli and the average Palestinian find themselves in a situation of escalating violence that they would both like to avoid. Unfortunately you have a complex situation where Palestinians have some legitimate grievences. There is no easy remedy to the situation, however, as territory and land seized from the Palestinians has now been settled by others who have invested a good deal into their "homes". What a mess!!!!

Well I never said what I believed in the Palestinian celebrations. On the one hand we have these pictures that are so easily distorted and can be easily faked. On the other you have groups that hate the US. But I do think that it could have happened, but I also think it could not have happened. Do I know that it happened, no. But that doesn't mean it didn't happen. This is all I am saying.

I wouldn't be mind called one, if I was one. But I am not. I am actually a centrist ,with a slight shift to the left, who share some ideas of both dems and republicans.
