What the heck is this?!?

http://cgi.ebay.com/Z-Grip-X-valve-...=item1e58b6fb5e

I don't plan to bid, but I have to know where this frame came from.

Says "Cripple Z" and looks like the offspring of a Z-grip and a Stormwalk (after being run over by a truck). It also appears to be a gasthru, but I can't tell if it could hide an LPR in there somewhere... Could it be a custom piece? Limited run?

This is the 2nd frame in the last 2 days that I've never seen or heard of... Anyone know more?

That indeed is a Cripple-Z and I have only seen/held one in person... It was made by the gentleman who made the Stormwalk frames as a DIY pneumag frame for z-frame enthusiasts...

Huh, I totally missed this. I loved my airwalk and I'm dying for a stormwalk, but the Cripple Z is just a total "miss" to me (and I love Z-grips). I guess 1 of 10 is a rarity, but I was hoping I'd stumbled on to something epic that hadn't been seen in a while.

I'm guessing they were made about a year to a year and a half ago? That would explain my completely missing it.

He made 6 + a proto-type.

He's made a ton of stuff to include pump kits, grips, frames...etc...etc... Good guy to deal with to. He might still have the proto-type. If you ask nicely he might give it up

I've seen what I thought was all of Jays work (and I had suspicions about this). Frankly, I loved my Airwalk and wouldn't have parted with it if it weren't for money issues. I do, however, really really want a Stormwalk, but again there's that issue of having enough money

Someone is selling a Stormwalk for $200 on the BST right now. See if he'll trade for it.

This is a Cerberus Innovations Crippled Z and there were only 5 made with serial numbers and one without a serial number.

Soooo....Jay himself doesn't know what he was talking about then

Jay and I had a long talk about the frames last month. You can even look up his original thread and he talk about how many he made.

You are just figuring this out.

Jay never knows what he is talking about!

He told me that they were numbered up to 5. I assumed that he started with 001. He told me he had sold all but the one (un-numbered) he sent to me to build a sleeper pneu'd. Before it was finished he had sold that one too. Here are a few picks of the one that I did in the early stages of mock up. Please note that the LPR is already mounted.

This was by far the hardest pneumag I have ever built. There were a few special one off parts made to get this to fucntion properly.

I believe that "Swamp Thing" owns it now. This thing ripped when I was done with it. I was so happy to finish it and ship it I never took any pictures of the completed gun, I hope one day that pictures of this show up, I would love to have some for my album.

I know, I actually sent the guy a freebie from his "wants" list just because it was something small enough that I couldn't make up cash for the difference. I've been sick as a dog and too lazy to start a new F/S thread and drum up some cash. That said, my birthdays soon, so I might just drop some hints with the little lady
