Did you catch up with maghog yet to see if he would carve the rail for you. with some patience and a file and maybe a dremel you could make it look nice yourself.

I thought you were just going to use that die grinder like we discussed? Maybe you need to step up to the coarse pad?

Got the grinding done. Pictures later. The body was the hardest part, those ridges were soooo stubborn.

It was just 2 fins, and just to blend in with the rail better.

Ok here are the pics, I must have been mistaken about grinding the body... weird

mostly I just delicately removed metal to blend A to B but cause the body had such a SOLID straight line and the frame was much skinnier and wavy. I broke up the 2 of these by throwing it on the mill and carving the line on each side as a break between the wavy and the dominate flat area.

this was some seriously tuff aluminum. I worked on it alot while I was running long projects on the CNC. sitting there with a pencil grinder slowly whittling it out

Hey everybody, Brandt's father passed on Christmas and he has to fly from NJ to TX and pay for the funeral. I'm going to be sending him a little money, not much, but it's what I can. His paypal is still on page 2, I dont care what he says, send him some more.
